Nextel workers are dumb.

They are a bunch retards... I called them to add the email and web servie on my blackberry. I used the card from my 730. the lady told me I needed a new card. I then threw up the and said, just activate the service. The card will work. I dont need a new card. She was like, I think you need a new card. I then expressed again, JUST ACTIVATE THE SERVICE. About a hour later I had all the service I needed and I didnt need a new card. I hate 's.

I dont know what you were trying to do, but Once a Sim Card has been activated you cant just re-use it for other things, if that were the case, dealers would just snatch all the used Sim cards they can get there hands on and just use them for new customers instead of paying for new ones, Only thing we can do (at least with T-Mobile) is email our rep to get old used ones Refreshed to make them re-usable which takes a while for the process to go through

I have heard that some phones are not compatible, but I just transfered my sim card from my old I90 to a I530 and it worked as simple as that.

Yes, it is a bunch of crap.

2 digit: Any nextel phone model with 2 numbers - e.g. i90, i55
3 digit: Any nextel phone model with three numbers - e.g. i730, i830, i860

With the nextel phones, you can use a 2 digit phone sim card in a 3 digit phone; however, you have a limited number of contacts. The newer sims that were provided with the 3 digit phones hold more contacts than the old ones. Also, you cannot take a 3 digit sim card and put it in a 2 digit phone and expect the phonebook to work - it will not.

Having worked with some of the Nextel people down here in VA, I can honestly say that they aren't exactly the brightest bunch...

I would write more about this subject and that its such crap, but to be honest, I just about hate nextel at this point and can't wait to get a new service provider for my girl and I.

Alright I can't control myself, this is the freakin icing on the cake. Nextel offers shared plans you know like between two people and two numbers, but in order to have one of those plans, you must choice that plan, and then add 19.99 for a second line and then best of all they don't give you unlimited direct connect! What is the freakin point of having a nextel shared plan if they don't give you unlimited direct connect! someone please explain that to me!

they're fuckin retarded

i called a month or two ago and they told me that my contract expires on the 10th of this month. . . so i should cancel it then

when i called today they tried to sucker me in to get an i860 for 200 bucks... its a decent price, but i just hate them so much that it doesnt matter

so anyways, when i called today they told me it expired on the 5th of this month, and i'm gonna be stuck paying for the month-- even if my number is transferred over and i'm not getting any service b/c i need to give 30 days notice...hmm they didn't tell me that before, they told me to call on the 10th and cancel...

the transfer of my number can take anywhere from 4 hours up to 10 days!

fuck it i'll pay the rest of the month as long as i dont have them as my service provider any longer

nextel
worst customer service in the business (even their customer retention or w/e they call that bullshit)

I've never had a problem with nextel cust service; however, that is probably because I deal only with corporate customer care (GM account)

bigblazinboot - after you transfer your number, I would file a complaint with the FCC for billing problems. I believe they are required to respond to the FCC complaint within 24 hours, and will probably just give you the credit to get out of the mess... just a guess though.

your lucky you have never had any problems with them cause they are all retarded! I remember back in the day when I was changing my service plan, a month after I got my bill they tried to tell me that all my local calls were considered long distance and all my long distance calls were local. I was like are you stupid! I live in that area code how can those calls be long distance!

oh and bigbalzinboot 200 for the I860 blows! they just offered it for 194 on there website through some deal. Every other service provider gives phones away and shit like that but nooooo nextel wants to rip every customer off and have horrible phones. I can't believe motorola makes phones for them cause the I860 was their first camera phone and every other provider has already had them for a while. Bottom line unless your corporate screw nextel for personal use, plans are expensive and phones are shit compared to others!

hey i work for NEXTEL! it's ok though i'm a technician. the customer service people are retarded. if i get a dumb one i just hang up and call again.

but with the SIM card thing... nextel SIM's can be re-activated without 'cleaning' the SIM unlike GSM SIM cards.

the blackberry SIM's are also different from the iXX and iXXX model phones. that is why the customer service rep tried to get you another sim because some features will not work with the i730 sim in the blackberry. such as telenav/track.

anytime someone tries to do something with service on their phone and has the wrong series SIM card in it NEXTEL tries to get you on the right SIM card.
