New Windows 7 laptop?

I am in the market for a new laptop. Going to use it mostly for mutimedia and internet. Store my pics from digital camera and iTunes.Something that is pretty quick, decent graphics and sound. What do you think I should look at?

I like the thin n lights like the Acer Timeline or Lenovo U350. The question is do you need an optical drive or not. If not then I'd go thin n light. Otherwise Dell Studios are nice, Studio XPS is better or you could go with the regular Inspiron lineup. If I were you I'd probably get a laptop and not a netbook they're a little small and underpowered for what you're looking for.

Lenovo U350

Acer Timeline

For what you're looking to do, look at systems above 1k.

i'll vote for either ASUS or ACER.

currently using ASUS UL30, 13 inch monitor and its light. (no CD drive tho, gotta be external)

and i've seen some ACER notebook too, they seem pretty nice to have as well.

I have this special HOSTS file installed that doesn't fuck around! Apparently when I click that link it actually tries to route me through at least 2 other sites that probably try to install tracking cookies. My HOST file doesn't play that shit! So yeah I found it buy going to BB site directly and then searching for the model #.

So everyone else can enjoy the new tracking cookies that got installed which leads to more junk email cause they clicked that link. I'm good though!

Okay, dude. Chill out.

I went to Bestbuy.com, searched for the laptop, clicked on the link to bring up the product page, then copied and pasted the URL. Sorry I'm not a web genius. I didn't mean to spread tracking cookies.

That's the $300 laptop right? my manager has it and I've played with it for a couple hours. It's actually not that bad, much better than I thought it'd be and that was with Vista, I think it had home premium though. Did you get one with 7 or Vista and is it the home premium version? I think the OP is looking for something more powerful than that though
