New Verizon Phone
My phone is due for an upgrade next month. What do you Verizon Wireless guys recommend? I was looking at the LG Dare or Versa today.
I really just use my phone for calls and texting. And I never text a lot. I don't use my cell for getting on the web, but since I will probably be travelling a lot more with this job, I may want basic e-mail and web capability.

If you want an all touch screen phone keep in mind that the dare is being replaced by the versa and should be gone soon. The versa will start being sold without the keyboard case so if thats what you decide snag it up although the case pretty much sucks for typing.
If you don't want touchscreen check out the envy 3 and Alias 2. Full qwerty and easier to use for basic use. If you want to go hybrid go with the new envy touch. So far from what Ive seen its a super nice phone and the best of both worlds.
If you think you will be using email and internet pretty frequently I would wait for the Blackberry Tour. Email and web gets addictive. Trust me. Hope this helps a little Ravi.

play with the touch screen phone for a bit before you buy one. I have the LG VU, and I lothe it, its near impossible to dial while driving.
Email is ok on it, but its so annoying trying to get on the web that I dont even try anymore

How much do you guys usually spend a month on your phone plan? Right now I only have a plan for 800 shared minutes and it's a lot. So we pay about $110 for 3 lines. For a BB plan, how much more is it?
Ravi...Ive got the Storm and love it. The plan is a bit more, but its much more of a phone. Internet is great, call quality is great. I dont know if thats the route you want to go, but I would recommend it.

The other option is to go with something like the Dare and their premium plan. That will be about $20 more a month.
I'm leaning towards the BB plan.
If you want web/email on the phone, I'd go BB all the way. I tried web on my Alias and it sucked really bad. I got rid of that part of my plan after just a few weeks. I'd love a BB, but the plans are too expensive for me right now. The upcoming Tour is what I'd get.

I went in and played with the Storm and the Tour.
I like the larger viewing area on the Storm and the overall feel of the phone. I absolutely hated the click screen. It's annoying.
As for the Tour, I found the key pad easy to use for messaging, and although the screen was smaller, it was more that adequate.
I think I will be going with the Tour unless you guys have anything further to add. I hit my NE2 date last week, but I can wait a while longer. Right now the Tour is $150.

For my location the back of the ad has $99.00 (after savings), looking at the weekly ad online, it has it for $99 as well.
www.bestbuy.com and click the weekly ad in their top banner.
Crap just look a little more, it states new Verizon Wireless account. Boy I hate BB, also something in the small effing print.

Haven't gotten anything yet. I'm not scheduled to do a lot of travel in the next month or 2, so I can delay a bit. Also, not too sure if I don't want to wait til they have wifi.
