Anyone know if Verizon has plans to release another bluetooth phone in the near future? I've been holding out because I feel that the V710 is too bulky and has a lot of features I don't need and will never use.

probably not... verizon is just like nextel - takes forever to get anything done... the features that you see on the v710 will likely be on any other phne that comes out with bluetooth....

oh, well there is the treo 650 ( i think) which will have BT...but its a palm pilot/phone

There is actually the Audiovox xv6600 pocket pc phone. It retails for $500+ but it has bluetooth.

Supposedly the Sprint version is having some Treo650-like problems with not being able to dial out calls.

Ohh yes, I remember reading about that pocket pc also. But, Im pretty sure either way jets is looking for just a normal phone...verizon really has had no need to pickup amazing phones simply because their coverage is so damn good.

Hopefully soon they will come out with a few more bt phones (not crippled)!

From my experience, they do alot of testing and research on phones that would end up on the shelf. That's why they're not really trying to push all the Motorolas anymore.
