Lightbulb New CD burner

Thanks to everyone who provided me with a lot of good info. I finally bought a TEAC 16-10-40 over the weekend from Comp USA. I was going to get a Plextor, but local stores don't carry it and it costs $30 more (than the TEAC) if I buy it thru on the internet.

It's been working perfectly so far. It burned an audio CD at 16x without a single problem. The Easy CD Creator 5 that comes with the burner is easy to use. (My old Acer 4-4-32 never burned a CD at 4x even it claims so.)

I'm so glad that I don't have to waste any CD-R disc again.

I wished I bought a TEAC...I just got myself a TDK 24x...it's hella fast, but I HATE the software that comes with it...It takes about 7-8 steps before it will start burning it.
I've tried EZCD5, but I can never get the software to recognize my TDK...everyone's telling me that I should've gone w/ TEAC...

You should try Nero BurningRom. Awesome program...I think it's better than EZCD5.

I agree with Lawaia, Nero BurningRom is really great. It works perfectly with my Plextor 24x10x40A
