Need laser printer in the car

Boss asking again on how to put a laser printer in the car. I though I would be able to use the 1000 watt invertior on the car hooked up to the battery, but I called and they said no, it will void the waranty. Those bastards. Anybody know of another way. Maybe a big power pack that connects thru the cig lighter. Probably will print about 10-20 pages within a 8 hour period so something like a portable battery would work. Any suggestions or brands?

He is hardcore. The only info I know about it is that he don't like inkjet. Refused to use it for bids and intro packs. I did find this http://www.xpower1500.com/products/D...Comparison.htm

Looks pretty hardcore.

It is estimated about 400 watts to use with it. The problem with that battery thing I linked is that it uses a modifed sine wave. The wall from Con edison/keyspan etc uses true sine wave. Called HP they said if it will work or not. You can try it, if it works it works, if not, it doesn't. Great help from them, they said though the 1160 printer is more forgiving than all of them. Anybody know if line conditioners would help in this case?

The question is how do the electronics respond to a square wave instead of a Sine Wave.

Some electronics respond fine as long as its 110 volts and enough power. Other things don't like a square wave.

I agree with HP. Give it a shot. Even the Inverters for the car give a Square Wave, at least the ones I've used.

Another question would be, what would happen if the doesn't like it.
