He owns a few cellular shops and has salesmen working for him all the time, as he was doing a batch report last night for the whole month he realized there were some shady activations coming from NY, after calling t-mobile and calling the numbers(they were all deactivated) he realized 3 differnt ladys all came in to purchase phones (23 in total)....

he is out about 10k in phones, and about another 10k in commisions since t-mobile wont pay him for the lines.....

so i know some people on the board deal with phones and services...just a lilttle heads up...

(the salesmen were half at fault though, the other part was t-mobile for allowing the activation to go through)

so what exactly did they do?

 

they came in activated phones under a companys name that they did not work for, so i guess they stole identy of a company said they were authorized to get cell's for the business and then either sold the phones, or used them till they were shut off

 

If I remember from my cell phones sales days.. Isn't it pretty easy to do this with just a minimal amount of info. about the company..?

 

yes....and he should have picked up on it pretty quickly when someone from new york drives all the way to jersey to pick up 16 cells...
