anyone know of any software i can use to edit an MP3??? i want to shorten it.. useless empty noise in the beginning..

 

iTunes if u got an ipod

 

here's a free one from download.com - it has limitations but I'm not sure what they are. I installed it and was able to delete (cut) space from an mp3 and save it.

good stuff thanks everyone.. now the hard part... am i able to extract the sound out of a DVD and rip it to mp3??? i have a DVD music video i want a song from..

 

sure - you need a dvd audio extractor program such as Ace - google it.

People like me were getting too many points for being so cool... the admins' coulnd't bear it...

I didn't know iTunes let's you edit MP3's

I will also recommend Audacity. Use Lame DLL to edit and manage MP3 files.
