Motorola v3 is out.

FYI, Cingular has released the RAZR v3 and the v551. Both are bluetooth phones!

Yeah the v3 is damn expensive. At least the v551 has a much more down to earth price. IMO that v551 is a really good phone with sweet features.

Razor review

Walt Mossberg wrote a review of this phone in today's Wall Street Journal. He did not mention the bluetooth capabilities but generally liked it. If you are interested in the phone, try to track down the review. Walt gives a fairly honest review.

IMHO...you can't compare a Razor to any other phone based on features alone. The Razor is a phone you have to hold in you hand to appreciate. It's truly a high-end product, and won't appeal to everyone. If it's gimmics like camera's and such that you're into...look elsewhere...the Razor has to be seen to be appreciated for the work of art that it is.

Oh come on! I held the razor in my hand today and though it was awful in terms of ergonomics. Way too wide and probably too thin to feel comfortable. It was like holding my checkbook up to my ear.

This phone is very appealing to people who really need to be noticed...its all about image. I liked the buttons on it, and the display quality was awesome, but you drop that phone on the sidewalk just once and it will be toast.

Drop any phone on a cement sidewalk and it will be toast....a phone made of metal has a better chance of surviving. Last time I dropped a phone on a sidewalk, I had to pick up the pieces of plastic after the case shattered. As for the feel of the Razor...I guess it depends on your personal preference. I find the feel of the Razor better than most others...especially the candy bar types such as Sony Erricson 600 series. The Moto flip phones seem quite comfortable to me and I've liked the V60 series and also the V-600 which I currently own. The Razor is unique, and certainly won't appeal to everyone. I like the "fit and finish" of the Razor, and would consider purchasing it for that alone and could care less if someone else notices it or not. The quality in the construction of the Razor phone is obvious to anyone who cares. A Saturn automobile will get you to work and the grocery store too, but we're all driving Acura's for a reason.

just my I'm in the market to buy a new phone, I have only ever used a flip phone the best phone even to this day that I ever used was the moto startac (pure genius). But 2 years ago I got the t610 (sony/candy bar)-the reason I bought this phone was that once I saw it in the store I just had to have it. It had cool features. Looked nice and was easy to use. I went to cingular the day the rzr3 was released and I was quite excited to check it out, on a 2 dimensional viewer (computer monitor) it looks very appealing, but when I went to see it the only thing that differentiates it from the next model down is the aesthetics...all the other features were the exact same. Now if you have the money to drop on that phone that's cool.... but why pay double for the same features.
Someone posted something stating that we could all drive Saturn’s to get from point A to point B but that doesn't exactly show any kind of correlation to the razr3. If you were to say the Saturn had all the same features as the TL (interior/exterior/engine/everything) but the outside was a little different and the Saturn cost half as much, then that would be a right statement, but it's not because Saturn’s don't have all of the same features.

Again just my
