It's ashame you have to hack the phone just to enable the use of your own mp3's. Thats one of the reasons I left Verizon. They make you pay for all the cool features.

basically, you install this software and you can enable things.
www.v710.org has the BEST directions (under seem edits)
www.inetron.com has the PST program

at the bottom of v710.org you will see a link for "V710 EDITED Seem" d.l that and save it to your phone. it does it for you so you dont have to mess with the hex stuff.

also, check out allwirelesstalk.com its def better than howardforums.com for the v710. http://www.allwirelesstalk.com/forum...ead.php?t=1274

thats the link to the thread i made. that guy is the man. he helped me almost every step of the way

no no. the phone im pretty sure has 10MB internal memory. plus you can put in the transflash card and upgrade it up to 512 external memory. what verizon did was disable the feature that would allow you to transfer freely from the TF card to the internal memory. all i did was enable the features the phone came with. now, i can load mp3's onto my TF card from my computer and then move them to my phones internal memory and use it as a ringtone.

the videos stay on the TF card and i can access them whenever i want without enabling any features. anybody can do this easily.

your not elligable for it you just got the phone. you had to get it before january 1st 2005. its because when it first came out they advertised that it had all the bluetooth features and it doesnt. so i get the money i paid for it back and use it towards the purchase of a new phone. the price of the new phone will be the same as if i was getting a two year contract but i will keep my same contract

Exactly. I just got a letter to join a class action suit against verizon because those features weren't enabled when I had the phone. I didn't do it because I got all my money that I spent on the phone back.
