Looking into this phone, anyone own it, or have any reviews other than whats on the web?

Also, whats the difference between GSM and SMS?

 

GSM is the phone network
SMS is text messaging

 

I have it, I like it. Work pays for it.

 

way to big...8100 has all the same features and is way smaller...

 

it would be worth getting a treo for 50 bucks more

 

yeah i was looking at the 9800 and have decided to hold off for the treo 700(aka treo 670) that comes out in january and will be running windows mobile 5.

I hope its not july or I will have to buy a temp phone since I will have to turn in my V710 to get my lawsuit settlement.

 

as far as i know you do not have to turn it your 710. im doing the same thing with mine

It says if you want to keep your verizon service but want to receive a refund for the purchase price you paid for the phone you must return your phone.

 

I finally picked one of these up. Pretty impressed with it after about a week of service.

Upsides:
MP3
Camera
Keyboard for Text and Email

Downsides:
Backlit display stays on when being charged
miniSD memory cards are crap

 

The 9100 doesn't work with the Acura TL/RL Bluetooth, if that's a consideration for you.
