Question LED Laptop Keyboards?!?!?

With so many LED products on the market, why haven't laptop manufacturers jumped onboard and starting making LED backlit keyboards?

If anything, that is one feature I think would be awesome to have on my laptop.

Someone is coming out with one that's going to run about $300 or so. I think it is a LED board. I saw it on diggnation, but can't remember exactly.

Nevermind it's a $1200 keyboard.

yea, the optimus keyboard seems to be a great keyboard but the price is ridiculous, and besides, it's for desktops, and the logitech is one that I was already aware of. although that too is for a desktop.

I rarely look at the keys anyway.

EDIT: Not that it wouldn't be cool, I guess. I just don't long for a backlit keyboard to be a standard 'feature' just yet...For what I use it for, I don't feel I need it.

Isn't that Optimus one basically like EVERY key is a mini-oled display?

Screw the laptop keyboard when you can have a Bluetooth virual laser keyboard on any flat surface. Time to get the Bluetooth drivers from my laptop.
