Question Laptop Help....

I'm looking to buy a third laptop/computer (I currently have beast of a desktop & another laptop that's a desktop-replacement that weighs in at 8lbs, so it's not very portable).

This laptop has to be slim, light, Pentium-M for battery life, WXGA screen, and affordable (<$1200).

I'm currently looking at the Dell Inspirion 700m.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks

I have the Dell 600M, which has worked out awesome. It's about 5 pounds. Check www.techbargains.com for Dell coupons. I got my Dell with a $750 off coupon for a $1500 purchase.

dell 600M or 700M they are rated at about 4.9lbs and 4.7lbs respectively. i like the HP as well, one advantage it has is that it can play dvd movies without booting up into windows. that way it saves you some battery life. so if you travel alot and want to watch movies on your laptop this would be ideal.

i would stay away from the gateway, they are kinda in trouble and aren't doing very well. the company has really taken a dive in the last few years and their products released lately has been not the greatest either.
