Laptop battery is starting to split.

This sucks. Ended up replacing my original MBP battery about two years into it's life back in '08. Couldn't hold a charge.

Replaced it with a third party battery. Now this one is showing signs of splitting open, effectively making it dangerous and no longer able to be used. What sucks is the laptop is four years old, essentially worthless (on the open market), yet even if i tried to sell it, no one would buy it without an operational battery. And a new one will be at least $100.

This totally blows. Hoping perhaps the battery company will honor something. Not sure it's even worth buying a battery for this thing.

Fawking Mondays.

I just bought a laptop battery from the battery connection on eBay for $12.95 shipped. It has been spectacular.

I bought a fastmac battery for mine a few years ago and while it's not bulging, it doesn't hold a charge for shit. 1 flash video and it's done, or about 45 min of web surfing. I'm in the same situation too it's about 4-5 years old so I don't really want to put any more money into it.
