Jut got my new phone: Nokia E61 Smart phone

So far I love it. It uses the Symbian S60 OS, which I am getting used to. It's treo sized, But does not use a stylus.

I got it unlocked from ebay for 500 and slipped my card in. THe cool part is that it has bluetooth, infrared, and WiFi connectivity, plus the t-mobile internet service as well. It has configuration options for pop3 and IMAP emails

The wifi option is really cool

the E70's a cool phone too, I don't think I could get used to that form factor though.

Yeah, its gonna be bit bulky... but full keyboard + wifi + that screen...

I can't see myself paying $500 though... I'm going to have to wait a while. I'm hoping Amazon.com picks it up, their prices are really good.

I was pondering the E61 / E70. It seems kind of odd to have such a big screen, and no stylus. You have to cursor all over the screen?

Yeah, you use the joypad to move around the screen. I really don't mind it at all. I've had the treo 650, and a couple other Windows based PDA's, and the E61 is really no harder to use. Actually, it's even easier because you don't have to pull out the stylus whenever you need to do something, and also, no stylus to lose.

What case do you have for it?

I have not gotten a case for it yet. All I do for now is lock the keypad and put it in my pcoket, screen facing my thigh. I'd like to get a plastic holster for it, like a blackberry holster, but I haven't really looked for one yet

the case i use for my e61 is the motorola q case (with belt clip). it fits perfectly.

i like the e61. it is not as intuitive to use like the treo but hardware, voice and display quality is better. internet and email over cingular is much much faster on the e61 than the treo 650. no software support yet. the only software i can find are the useless ones. sucks!!! i need software for "full picture id", and some other stuff.
