iPhone on Verizon
Verizon is a great network, but their coverage is not near as good as AT&T. Even though the commercials only talk about 3G which I agree, AT&T Edge (for having a cell signal period) is in more areas than Verizon.
verizon kills at&t in service in new york.

..sorry, I took so long... I answered, but the "server update" took me offline before I could submit it... LOLmy friend who has an iPhone said that compared to his previous phones, while living in the same area, the iPhone was by far the worst actual "phone"... poor call quality, etc
I know everyone has there own preference in phones companies, but im with Sprint cause i have a killer plan, and the next best thing to a iphone ( without the apps ) on Sprint is the Samsung Instinct ( in my opinion) I still have the 1st gen one and its been reliable and fun to use with the touchscreen similar to iphone, just doesnt have any apps at all, not that you really need them, I just like the touchscreen ability and easy texting from it as well, Be nice if the other companies can get the phone away from AT&T though.
also to add my 2 cents, its all a matter of area or city for the coverage, here where im at, AT&T sucks! and i will never go back to them, Verizon is good, as is Sprint where im at anyway

I drove from DC to Canton Ohio, buddies network card for laptop Verizon, his cellphone AT&T, it use effing useless. Had signal for laptop 90% of the time, his cellphone maybe a third of the time. He used my cellphone (Verizon) to talk as he worked.

I drove across the country in a RV last summer from LA to NYC. Those of us with iphones typically had a signal or better service better than any other phones/service providers on the RV. And when we didnt have a signal, neither did anyone else.
That said....even I can admit the actual phone on the iphone is not a good phone. That said, I dont think my Treo was much better.

Now, 3G has been flaky at times here in Atlanta, with dead zones. That's why I say when everyone jumps ship, the network will be better.
Also, everyone claims that 850MHz is supposed to be better than 1900MHz for penetrating into buildings. Why is it that I've seen completely the opposite?
3G, big deal, I don't care. I rather have a signal that works (EDGE) than worry about Internet speed and call quality vs Edge.
I have had Verizon, and Sprint and I do a lot of driving in the rural areas of Texas. And sorry to say AT&T has a signal where my Verizon and Sprint never did and way more places. Now I can go places and not worrying about having a signal as my phone will still work. These days I laugh at my friends who say their Verizon has better coverage which isn't true and it isn't working when we go out of town together somewhere.
