iphone problem

iphone problem

i just got mine yesterday and i ported my number, and no when ever someone calls me it still comes through my old phone. But i can make calls with the iphone but cant recieve them. Do i have to go back to att to fix this or can i do something online or at home? The rep told me this was going to happen but will only last for 6 hours. its been alot more than that.

also since im still recieving calls through my old phone is it using my new att mintues or am i on my old minutes?

Call your old provider and tell them they need to release your number to AT&T. AT&T may be able to help you get through this.

I had the same problem with Verizon last year. AT&T was able to get them to get off their ass and release the number.

i just called verizon and they told me that att did it wrong and i need to take it to them.

When you took it to AT&T did they turn around and blame verizon...ah the finger pointing game.

Call 1-888-898-7685, it is the AT&T porting center. They will be able to see what the problem was, and most reps will call verizon if it's something they can fix over the phone (usually) Or go back into the store and have them call.
