T-Mobile will be releasing an update next week. No one knows what the update is at this point, but some speculate that they might announce WinMo7 or the US model having more RAM than its European counterpart.

 

Nah, it won't ship with WinMo 7, but it fits the criteria for WinMo7. Microsoft was actually using an HD2 to show off WinMo 7 at their press conference.
As far as the ram, it's speculated that the Euro version has the same amount of Ram, it just is utilized through the ROM for whatever reason.

It does not fit the criteria for WP7 and it will not be upgraded. MS was NOT using an HD2 to show off WP7, the device they've used in their demos is a prototype device from Asus. It won't run WP7 cause it doesn't meet the hardware requirements which is that a device can only have 3 buttons on the front a back, start and search button. The HD2 doesn't have a search button. I'm sure HTC will make a HD3 that will meet the hardware requirements and will run WP7, that very well maybe the flagship launch device when the OS comes out later this year but the MS has said that the HD2 will not be upgradeable to WP7.

 

That's not to say you can't hack the WP7 OS to run on an HD2 like this guy did

anyone know where to the underground forum for htc hd2? im looking to getting it unlock info and apps like some iphone forum...if there is any that exist.

 

http://forum.xda-developers.com i don't think it's underground but they'll def teach you step by step how to unlock it and do flashes and other mods. i got to play around with that phone and it's got a wide screen. enjoy

 

i heard about the flashing part, but i heard alot of people warning that it can screw up the whole phone lol

 

I was going to say there is a recovery method but I skimmed through the HD2 section and there doesn't seem to be one made yet. They're still having trouble installing linux/android on your phone too. Here's a vid that shows what one of the roms could do for your phone
