Quote: Supposedly Best Buy will be selling them tomorrow at the discounted price too.
I checked the local craigslist postings and sellers had them at a low price of $300. I think I'm going to wait a few months and get one for $50.

With all the TouchPads people are buying, HP should be like, "Sike, we're not getting out of the tablet business."

Perfect way for HP to get market share and get more people to create apps for WebOS.

Would $230 be worth paying for one of these? Does that price kill the deal?

Picked up a 16gb at BB today. I asked for 2, but they said, "1 per person."

Free 50GB cloud storage with box.net is muy bien.

I like the fact that it uses a micro usb to charge unlike my transformer which uses a proprietary plug.

Ken- Is factory reset the only way to remove a webOS account from the device?

I want to give this one to my Dad, but wasn't thinking when I set it up with my email address.

Well I sort of feel like an idiot paying $125 for mine, but I guess I don't gotta deal with camping at worst buy or not knowing that it would show up on amazon as a lightening deal.

Camp? I walked in BB and walked out with one in less than 5 min. Anyway, $125 is not a bad deal. With CA sales tax at BB it would have been ~$110

Dont bother with Bestbuy, im getting reports from all my friends that none of them around me had them. They opened the doors at opening saying "No more touchpads". One store my buddy went to the employees were saying it sarcastically and giggling. Looks like they got first dibs.

$125 is NOT bad at all. These things used to be $399

Yea I love how there are multiple reports of BB employees holding touchpads even thou on the screen shot someone got of the manager screen said "employees are not allowed to hold touchpads"

Yeah but it's easy. Basically you put the device in developer mode (Konami code) and download the WebOS Doctor to your computer, hook it up and it can wipe the device and restore any information you wish.

WebOS doctor is found under your account login: https://ps.palmws.com/palmcsext/cons...oginPage.iface

Probably since most of the Palm employees behind the Pre's and TouchPads were former Apple. Rubinstein was at NeXT (Risc hardware guru) and Apple (iPod was his baby) and now he's left with NOTHING.
