HELP: Windows NT 4.0 and IE 6.0
I upgraded to IE 6 over my NT 4.0 WS. Now I cannot Enable the Active Desktop. I cannot see the folders as web pages. Nor, I can have the small icon sortcult bars (left system bar).
So what happend? Why I cannot enable the Active Desktop? and Why I cannot access the Folder Options in the Web menu in the Display Dialog box?
I re-installed IE6 couple times and still the same problem
Thanks for the help.

I've never installed IE6 on NT4, but I'll give it a guess. The features you describe are not a part of NT4. The only way to get them is to install IE4 and choose "shell integration" during setup. If you later upgrade to IE5.x, those features will be preserved. Been there, done that. However, if you were to install IE5.x or above on NT4 WITHOUT having IE4 with shell integration already there, you wouldn't have those features. IE4 is the only one that has that option. They took it out with IE5 and above. So maybe Microsoft in their infinite wisdom, simply removed those features from your system when you installed IE6. Its been a while since I've done much with NT4 but I think that's the way it worked.
It seems that IE 6 does not support Active desktop by itself and requires that the Win 2000 being installed.
Shit I just uninstalled Active desktop from my Win NT.
Microsoft Sucks big hairy ass....
