Okay so I received an email from myself the other day, it was blank. So I went to that email account and it said it was compromised. So I fixed that account, then I said, I better check everything, and guess what another email account got hit as well. Apparently from Bosnia.

My question is this, how worried should I be? I'm going through all my accounts changing my passwords, but is it more likely that I've got a bad virus on one of my machines, like a key stroke logger or something. It's one thing for one account, but two accounts?

Any advice?

 

Run CCleaner and delete all cookies and temp files. Run Malwarebytes and scan your system.

And never ever click on any link you are not sure off, especially in the emails.

Once you do the above, you can change your passwords.

 

If you have gmail, now would be a good time to turn on dual authentication for the time being until this is all sorted out. My account was accessed from China last year. Ever since I turned that on for a good 6-9 months i've never had a problem since. Had to turn it off to reduce the hassle of setting up my gnex though.

 

Most hosts like Yahoo, Gmail, have an authentication system, if you access your account from any device that is not recognized (saved), it will send you a txt msg with a key code to punch add the device.
