Has anyone received their guard? Or even heard anything yet?
Droid people got in on a promotion last month and said they were junk. Thinking about getting my money back before they ship. Website holds no record of my order either.
Fishy.

Not that it means much but I got a confirmation email from them today that my order was shipped and I got a confirmation number. I did not get any type of tracking number. We'll see how this pans out.

A friend of mine I had told about it, had already ordered one. He received it last week and said it's a PITA to install...well the sides will be, but the front and back are good. Not sure if it's a true scam but if I get something that doesn't fit well and it only cost $4.85. I'll live.
Now, if they used my information down the line for something fraudulent...
my head will explode with rage.

OK, for a real review:
This thing sucks. It's about worth what I paid for it. The material does not want to go on easily, and trying to get any bubbles out is a PITA. It's a very slick surface on your fingertips, but any kind of straight edge will catch the material and stretch it. So there's bubbles everywhere. Thankfully the front isn't too bad, but the back makes the phone look like it has leprosy. It's also slightly too big for the phone, on both sides.
The matte guard I had for the 3G (put on the 4G) worked better, and it was completely the wrong size. I'll be headed back to the Apple Store for another version of that.

Wow, six days after posting and labeled a scam because nobody received them yet? Seems harsh.
Cost $2.85 for shipping and free product. It took a total of ten days from order to receipt for mine. I haven't installed yet but read reviews here and elsewhere.
I'm not surprised that they aren't the best product out there considering the price. It looks like any easy way to get an inexpensive product to the market quickly. Sorry if anybody feels like they got robbed of their money. I've paid a lot more, received a lot less and waited longer. I was just attempting to share a potential bargain.

MR1, I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to agree with you 100%.
I got mine a day after I posted, I just got done installing it, FIRST of all..I use a leather case (my G1 case works for this phone for some reason, perfectly) for carrying purposes and just wanted something to keep my smudges (when I answer and am working on car etc) and scratches and the color changes from just plain wear from putting in and out of case and finger grease etc.
I did NOT want an otter box or body glove case because it would make the phone bulky and not fit in the case. PLUS, isn't the slimness of the phone a selling feature.
So here is my review...I think I've LET people keep more than $2.85 and not received anything for it. A la extra beer charged on tab or something stupid that I let slide, you get the point. This stuff, although takes some patience to put on, is NOT difficult to install...you can grab it and reposition it and it doesn't leave sticky residue. The back is totally protected now. The SIDES did take a little to figure out but basically, it's not 4 sides for 4 sides...it's like 6 pieces and if you use your noggin you can figure out where to start and work your way around (start with the volume up/down area...there are 2 smaller pieces that look similar...except one is a little smaller and has 2 funny ends and one has 1 funny end. With phone facing you, use the smaller of the 2 with 2 funny ends to go upward from the volume up button and the 1 funny end longer one to go down from the volume down button...then, it is pretty obvious where the others go...the other small one with a funky shape is to go around mic on the bottom...)
So back and sides are a MUST...you can barely see them and you won't cringe every time you set the phone down or slide it on some dirt/sand. About catching sharp edges, not sure why you would do that...or where you would do that. My only gripe, and it's only because I had an antiglare screen and my finger would slide on it very easily is that the front screen is clear when phone is on, but no that nice when screen is black. Plus, it's super smooth so my finger sticks a little when sliding on SWYPE etc.. That's it...my only complaint. Supposedly it has a "healing" capability so it'll clear up the finger wipes I put on there when smoothing it out. I have 3 more antiglares to put on if I change my mind, just figured I'd give this a shot. (ps, antiglare screens on ebay...i paid 7 bucks for 6 of them shipped...)
Anyway, that's all, not to knock other complaints, but I'm super happy with my 3 dollar purchase.

To be honest, I'm happy
I didn't have any issue with installation other than stretching the film out and having to cut a new sound hole. I didn't follow the instructions exactly because I'm not comfortable with spraying water on the iphone. Due to the stretching issue I didn't bother with the back piece, just gonna continue to use the hard shell.

6 days to mail something out is a bit long IMO....
i can mail a letter to hawaii in less than 6 days...
the length wasnt the problem.. it was lack of communication... i didnt get any confirmation email.. or item shipped email..
im not impatient... but even if it only took 6 days.. its still bad business to not keep contact with buyers... $2.85 or not.

OK I did. Agree to disagree. I didn't see where anyone didn't receive product. They say they have a return policy. Some think that if they don't get $5.00 for every $1.00 they spend and it doesn't meet their exacting standards then its a scam.
I think I received 2 emails regarding shipment and a link to the (poor) instructions was included on my receipt. Again, I've paid more and received less.

surprisingly, i received mine in the mail a few days ago, tried it on and had a ton of bubbles. it is cheap....thus, i ripped it off and threw it in the garbage! waste of my hard earned dollar!

You did not install it correctly.
Also, after a week of having it on, I will say this...it DOES have a corrective quality about it, the back looked a little ugly at first, but it's smooth and glossy now.

FWIW, I have purchased the Zagg Invisible Shield for my TP1, TP2, and iPhone and love the fact that for $3.95 if it ever get messed up, they'll send you a new one.
Yea but $24.99 full retail.

I'm going to try it. I don't have anything on there except for the free clear hard case that Apple was giving away, so anything would be better than nothing. If it works, cool.. If not, i'm out a couple bucks.. Big deal
Got mine yesterday and installed it per the instructions. So far so good. Can't complain. No bubbles, cant really tell its on looking at it straight on. The feel is pretty good as well.
