OK my mom and i do a family plan ... i want a treo650 and she wants what ever as long as it is a decent phone

im trying to find out where i can get the treo as cheap as possible and then get my mom a extremely cheap phone for a family plan .. or a free one.

i just picked one up from palmone. right now they have a 15% off coupon. the coupon expired yesterday but when i went on their site, it accepted it. so i called them up and placed the order over the phone just to make sure it goes through. it sure did. the phone came out to $467, no tax, free express shipping (1-2 days), no contract, cingular service (already have a plan). you can get the treo with a cingular plan as a new customer for around $430 w/ 1 year contract i think (could be 2, i don't remember). just go to palmone's site.

i think it's a good deal considering cingular's site sells the phone for $449 and they own you for 2 years. the cingular stores are worse at $449 (2 year contract/after MIR), $500 (1 year contract/after MIR) and $549 (no contract).

you should be able to use the coupon on the sprint version of the treo too if you want sprint service. the unlocked version sells for $600 from palm. wanted the unlocked version but thought that price is too much. i may be able to find the software to do it on the net. it already comes with the data cable anyway

as far as unlimitted data plan, cingular's price is $24 on top of your monthly voice plan. and i believe they have a rebate for $50 if you sign up on it.
