Aside from the point of this thread, I always run http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ every so often.. Cleans me up and doesn't require much of my PC resources.

patch has been released, this is like saying don't use Microsoft or dn't use any software cuz theres a bug in it. as long as a patch is out whats the problem..

I actually had a guy tell me once, "I had {whatever} antivirus but it never seemed to do anything so I got rid of it." So you'd rather have a program like Norton popup every 10 seconds telling you how much its slowing you down? A good antivirus is SUPPOSED to sit there quietly and stay out of your way unless you attempt to launch a virus.
