That's nothing, I thought I had nationwide roaming only to find out I didn't after a trip across country
253 fucking dollars!

253 fucking dollars!
haha, that is nothing.
A friend of mine who usually uses calling cards to call abroad pressed SEND by mistake after dialing the phone number. Of course it made an international call from his cellphone.
$850 in charges for that month. It was crazy; Cingular did not want to give any kind of adjustment or discount, even after being a customer for many years. He also lost all his rollovers minutes when changing plans eventhough customer service said it wont happend.
He paid it off and switched to t-mobile.

Cingular allows me 5 way calling, I had maxed it out off-peak; you can see all those minutes incrementing x 5. Night starting at 7 pm works for me.

not sure what carrier u have but if you have T-mobile and you know you're going to go over your minutes, just call in and change to another plan. Your minutes will start over. T-mobile is the only company that doesn't pro-rate their minutes.. hope that helped...

Why should a company give a break even if it was a mistake? Who is going to pay that 9 hours of service? If you change from a rollover plan to a non-rollover you lose the rollover. simple as that. sounds like there is more to this story than he told you.
On the other hand, he want from a rollover plan to a family plan with rollover, and Cingular did not consider his rollover minutes. That situation made him switch.
