well couldn't it be doing it the other way around and blocking certain MAC addresses while allowing all the others?

OP, does your neighbor seem techy enough to enable MAC address blocking? Is he real nerdy or just a regular joe? Cause I'm not certain this is your problem.

 

Would make more sense for it to just allow the mac addresses of the computers for their house

 

yeah but it's more work to allow 2-3 pc then it is to block just one.

I always just allow and not block...Its easy to set up...
