Apple: OS X Mountain Lion
Apple: OS X Mountain Lion

Downloaded it to an iMac and Macbook Pro yesterday. Took a long time for both - over an hour for each from start of download to actually using Mountain Lion. My Macbook Pro got to "less than a minute" during installation then went back to 20 minutes - weird.
The only issue I've had was Handbrake not working. I had to change security settings to allow it to open since it didn't come from the App store/Apple approved program. Other than that, I haven't run into any other "glitches".

Mountain Lion, the latest version of Apple’s OS X desktop operating system, went public Wednesday to the delight of Mac users everywhere. But while the world fawns over updates to Safari and a number of features cribbed from iOS, most people are skipping over perhaps the most significant update of all: AirPlay Mirroring.
Don’t look now, but Apple just created a formidable cord-cutting platform. The new operating system can change the way we watch video in the living room, and might even compel some users to finally cancel their cable and satellite services. Any video content that’s available for the computer can now be just as easily watched on an HDTV. All you need is a Mac running Mountain Lion, and a $100 Apple TV.

I bought my Macbook Pro in mid-June so I was eligible for the free upgrade to Mountain Lion like you. I submitted my serial number and awaited my free code from Apple. I assumed it would emailed instantly but after waiting a few hours I went back to the App store and saw that Mountain Lion was now listed as "Download" instead of "$19.99" so I downloaded and installed it. I never did get an email with the "code".
Yeah its all the way at the bottom...
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).
Ah ha! I got the font size right! Grey text!
I just bought my MBP last July, I wonder how many OS X upgrades I'm going to be able to get before they drop support for it.

Did you not pay a couple hundred dollars or more for your Xbox?
True, but I also use it every day for gaming and multimedia purposes, I've gotten my money's worth over and over again. I was saying Airplay is free.
Speeddemon, I use "Connect360", it's $20 though

At work we've been toying with AirPlay for use in our conference room for screen sharing what is on an attendee's iPad or iPhone (and now notebooks). Seems to work well but there's not really a lot you can do to secure it once someone's connected.
I've already brought up this concern about students somehow getting access and putting up inappropriate images in front of a class lol.

LOL looks like there's no DHCP server:

bahahha. I'll stick with my MBP running SL Server, thanks.
nvm, upon further reading it's there but there's no pane for it. It's part of NetInstall and Internet Sharing now: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5412
I sincerely hope you can at least set IP ranges, etc. through the interface. I see under additional notes you have to edit a plist file for customization..

still waiting for a code, checked app store and it still reads 19.99. I am on a rMBP. Hoping I get a code soon, kinda annoying because they did promise a free upgrade and its now 3 days later and no news since I filed a claim, and its supposed to make everything more retina friendly.

Same here, I kinda miss Snow Leopard but I'm really liking the new stuff in this.
