Not that I could tell, it ran the same as 7.

It should run fine. the OS is only 2 generations newer.

Anything after 2 is questionable (to me) on upgrading.

Haha, he was a good sport and people were lining up to take photos with him. Since it was in the Apple store, he commented to everyone that they had a great (Apple) phone when they were taking pictures. He did have two big body guards, so I thought better than to take a sefie using my M8.

Here's a tip...try not to drop it. I think most handheld electronic device won't hold up well to being drop. I can't believe we're in the culture of having to design electronics to survive drops or being run over by a car, etc. Try the old school approach...take care of your stuff.

And before you ask...yes, I have kids...2 in fact. They don't come close to touching something that costs upwards of $600+.

Btw guys, use your 12W iPad charger or get one if you want your phone to charge faster.

I was taken by surprise at how fast this 2915mah battery charged. But that's because I only use iPad chargers. I can vouch for the ~2.5 hour charge I took me with the old 10W iPad charger

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Capable of Faster Charging Using iPad 2.1A Adapter
Sep 22, 2014 9:56 am PDT by Kelly Hodgkins
Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus ship with higher capacity batteries that deliver exceptional battery life, but as pointed out by iLounge and MacRumors forum members, the two new iPhone models can also charge significantly faster when used with an iPad charging adapter rather than the smaller adapter included with the iPhones.

iphone6-charging
According to preliminary tests using a Kill-A-Watt device and OS X system information, the charging profile for the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus match that of the iPad, allowing them to charge using 2.1A. Unlike earlier iPhone models which would only draw 5W regardless of the charger being used, the new phones are capable of drawing up to 12W, allowing them to charge at a faster rate. Early feedback from owners suggest the larger iPhone 6 Plus can charge fully in approximately two hours from an iPad adapter.

iPhone 5s (l) versus iPhone 6 Plus (r) charging profiles in OS X system report

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus include the standard square 1A/5W charging block that shipped with previous iPhone models. To obtain these faster charging rates, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners may use the 2.1A/12W charger from the iPad or the high-power USB port of a newer model Mac.

Doesn't matter how well you take care of your stuff, shit happens.

Why not use the advances in engineering to better the products we use day in and day out? Strive to make better products...

Interesting about the charging. Thanks Miz

Never used the chargers that came with iPad or iPhone. I've used others and for last couple years have used wall plugs with usb built in. Notice with iPhone 5 that charging was so much faster with them.

Ok whose idea was it to pinch out to tab view or swipe to another tab when in landscape mode

Ohh and if you have your headphones in its difficult to type with the headphone plug facing towards the right when in landscape.

I love this article: Even Apple didn't want my iPhone 6 Plus | The Verge

"It was when I attempted to retweet something about the Kansas City Royals, that it happened. I dropped the phone on my face. When you drop a 5.5-inch plate of glass and metal on your face, you take it for the sign it is."

Yea you keep trying to justify your 6 purchase

Btw I had VERY quick and painless process of buying my case. Ordered thru the Apple Store app for in store pickup. Got to the store and got a button on the lock screen. Opened it and it brought me to my order with a barcode for the "genius" to scan and grab my order. In and out in like 20 minutes. Even with the long line for people trying to get an iPhone or put their hands on the display model.

Some iPhone 6 Plus Owners Accidentally Bending Their iPhones in Pockets - Mac Rumors

Some iPhone 6 Plus Owners Accidentally Bending Their iPhones in Pockets
Sep 23, 2014 8:01 am PDT by Kelly Hodgkins
As highlighted in a few reports shared in the MacRumors forums, a small but growing number of iPhone 6 Plus owners have reportedly bent their phones after carrying the devices in their pockets just days after launch. In one instance, a new iPhone 6 Plus was bent during a day of dancing, dining, and driving to a wedding.

Yesterday, I left at 10am with the iPhone in my left FRONT pocket of my suit pants. I drove 4 hours to a wedding, which also involved a lot of sitting during dinner etc but also 2-3 hours of dancing. I left at 2am and went to bed, driving home 4 hours back.

So in total, the 6 Plus was about 18 hours in my pocket while sitting mostly.

As I lay it on the coffee table and sat down on the couch to relax from the drive (yes, sitting again ), I saw the reflection of the window in the iPhones slightly distorted.
This potential for bending is of course not unique to the iPhone 6 Plus, with reports of bent iPhone 5 and 5s handsets surfacing in the past few years. As iPhones get thinner and larger, however, storage of the handset in a pocket becomes riskier. Unlike smaller phones that can slide out of the way, pressure points from sitting or bending now have greater potential to cause the longer iPhone to flex in a way that will damage the device.

To prevent bending, iPhone 6 Plus owners may want to remove their iPhones from their pockets before sitting or bending. If a pocket is unavoidable, then customers may want to place their device in a roomier pocket that allows the device to slide out the way. A rigid case may also provide protection from flexing or bending, as well damage from dropping the device.
