Updated to iOS 6 last night and it was a nightmare. My phone wouldn't connect to iTunes afterwards or restore apps, music, ect. I downloaded older firmware rolled back to 5.1 then 5.0 nothing worked. Finally rolled back iTunes and amds restored an older iTunes library and finally the phone would connect. Then I updated back to 6.0 and redownloaded my apps from the cloud cos no back ups were found on my computer even though I made several...
The only thing I can think of is that maybe my prior jailbreak caused all this. Prob should of used tiny umbrella to roll back before updating.

Lol all I did was go to my phone in itunes made a back up and hit update. The newest itunes automatically updated in order to get iOS 6 when the phone rebooted with iOS 6 itunes wouldn't recognize it anymore.

I rarely find errors in Google Maps tbh and I use it all the time. The 3d satellite views look like poo on Google and Apple (googles vector buildings are nice though). I'm sure Apple will fix it eventually but man some of that looks terrible... clouds in the way, black and white, weird banding, stuff wayyy off. Damn.

^ first sign of insanity is when you start arguing with yourself
It's a brand new system, obviously there will be errors. I'm sure big cities they did a great job on them. Install google maps as well, and have the best of both worlds. I just recently discovered, because I'm an idiot, that on Maps I can click on the GPS Direction thingy and it will position the map based on how I'm standing. Before I've always ended up deciphering where is left right, up and down.

Apple have come under heavy criticism today for replacing Google Maps in iOS 6 with their own in-house mapping application. From now on all iPads, iPhones and iPod Touch devices capable of running iOS 6 will ship with Apple’s native mapping service. Google Maps has been stripped out completely.
In an uncharacteristic move, Apple have chosen to replace what is arguably the world’s best mapping system, with an inferior, half-baked alternative. Many people have been shocked by just how poor the experience is compared to Google’s offering and left wondering why there was any need to rush out a competing service that’s nowhere near ready for prime-time.
Much of Apple’s map data is out of date, inaccurate, low resolution and incomplete. Some users have noticed towns and villages displayed up to a mile out of position. Some smaller roads and lanes do not even have road names and numbers here in the UK. It seems Apple’s data is months, if not years out of date and only partially complete.
Google’s maps, on the other hand, provide concise, reliable and more accurate map data. Rich in detail and far more up to date. Not only that, but users can submit corrections and new mapping data simply by using Google’s online Map Maker software.
It’s understandable that Apple would want to replace Google Maps with its own service eventually, after all the two companies are competing for the same mobile marketshare, but exactly why Apple chose to replace Google Maps with such a poor alternative is a mystery. Why the big rush? If anything, customers who rely on Google Maps on iOS are more likely to switch to Android now, rather than put up with such a terrible replacement.
Google have every intention of delivering a stand alone Google Maps app for iOS in the near future, saving users from Apple’s awful replacement. In my opinion, they would be wise to hold off for a while, as frustrated iPhone and iPad customers who rely on Google maps look to Android as an alternative.
Expect Apple to roll out iOS map updates thick and fast as they rush to appease disgruntled users. If you are one of them, you can always bookmark maps.google.com in your browser of choice until something better comes along.

Or pocket all the money from the sale of my old phone and wait the two years and put it towards the iPhone7.
My thought process for getting brand new iPhone4's is that I don't think the battery's on our existing phones will hold up for another two years and we don't need Siri, or turn-by-turn navigation, although it would be nice, or the fastest processor. So why not save the money and wait till there is a substantial difference. Now on my iPad it's a different story as I use that more than I use my iPhone and I will more than likely upgrade every year.

I do despise the camera on my iPhone4, but with my interest of saving money and looking at wants v. needs, I'm trying my best to be a little bit more picky about what I absolutely want to upgrade and what I can wait on. Right now I want to spend more money on my car and other hobbies than my phone.
