Any thoughts onthe LG6000

Don't move ths to cell phone thread, I don't want it to turn into some verizon sprint att whatever the fuck thread.

Just want to hear comments, good and bad on the phone.

Last time I got a phone I got it the day it came out practically, the T720 it SUCKED, so want to hear personal reviews if you got any.
Thanks.

I have the phone and it is amazing. I had a Nokia 3360 before and there is no comparison. It is a definite must-have.

I just bought the VX6000 of Fotis a few weeks ago.

It's pale in comparison to Sprint's new offerings.... the 5400 or 5500.

The camera is useless. It picture quality is poor and pretty much ineffective in low light situations.

Its big.

The outer screen flashing lights gimmick looks pretty but wears off fast. I much prefer a real dual LCD... but thats subjective.

The plastic is cheap... in just over a month it already has cracks in between the keys. Granted... it sees about 25 messages a day worth of text lol. Still tho...

The main LCD isnt as bright/vibrant as many others. It also seems to eat up a ton more battery than im used to.

On the plus side...

it has a nice software interface...

and it seems to have some good processing/memory as it completes operations quickly.

The only reason I compare it to Sprint is because as far as I know the VX6000 is Verizon's flagship camera phone right now. Its definately the most popular... and it doesn't hold a candle to Sprint's stuff.

T-Mobile has some trick phones... and the ability to use any unlocked gsm phone is nice too.

Consider where the phones are made.

Samsung, LG are Korean.
Hitachi and Sanyo are Japanese.
Today's Motorola are built in China but those StarTACs were built in Illinois.

i really like my 6000.... as for its physical durability, personally, i beat my phones up and i happen to think its pretty durable.... dont know if this has anything to do with it, but i got the phone from the first batch manufactured.... the camera quality is definetely sub-par. its functionality to easy to use, just not as easy as motorola's. i also prefer itap to t9.... just works better for me. reception is better than any phone i've had.... besides the 7868w startac. the 6000 is def very loud. it's a good all-around phone i can say its the best phone i've had.... like most people, i guess i get tired of phones rather quickly as well... i'm tired of it already, but i'm hooked on the camera. i do about 100 pix msgs per month.... i dont really need it, its just the novelty aspect of it which i enjoy....

korean makes best phone.. no doubt about it.. in korea, there are hundreds of phones that are better than any other models in the U.S.. i think partly because korean people are obsessed with cute stuff... they live and die by gadgets...

I've had my 6000 a couple of months now. Definitely the best phone I've had so far, and the best thin at Verizon. I'm happy.

I've got the VX4400 (and the LG TM-510 before that) and after switching from a long line of Motorola phones (including the ubiquitous StarTac ST7868W), I can honestly say the VX4400 is the best phone I've ever had or used. A friend has the VX6000 and although I like it, here's why I didn't upgrade:

1. Dual mode only. A non-issue if you live and travel in all-digital areas but here in Western MA analog is still predominant and I would lose a lot of coverage without any analog. Get stranded in the boonies with a VX6000 and you can use it to start a fire.

2. Brew 2.0 vs Brew 1.1 (on the VX4400). Brew 1.1 is far more, ahem....hackable and therefore beneficial.

3. Camera phones are becoming taboo in a lot of places (health clubs, court houses, corporate HQs, etc). I don't want to have to surrender my cell every time I visit a place that doesn't allow them

Don't get me wrong, VX6000 is a great phone--just not for me. Now the VX7000 is hopefully right around the corner (check out PhoneScoop.com) and *that* looks much better. Better camera phone, with swivel and a flash.

My advice--get the 4400 or wait for the 7000.

The LG 6000 is a good phone but there is only shitty thing about it its only a dual mode phone which mean it only works on digital and digital rom and will not Analog rom some if u live in some area that all they have is analog ur screwed
