Any late word on the Verizon Bluetooth?
The v710 is "supposed" to come out in late June or July. But with the way this has been going, who knows for sure?
The only thing you can count on is that it won't be cheap.
You can register at Motorola.com to be notified when it's ready

The 710 has the same bluetooth system as the V600 which is having all kinds of problems working with the TL. (Read the posts on this forum. What's the point of having a flip phone if you have to turn off "open to answer" in order for the phone to work inside the car) I wanted to stay with Verizon, but I don't think I will now. Nokia, Sony-Ericsson and Siemens phones work perfectly with the TL, so it looks like I'll have to switch. The good news is that with ATT and Cingular merging, and switching over to 850mhz, the coverage should be pretty good.
I just purchased a Sprint Sony Ericsson T608 that I plan on converting to Verizon. I'm waiting for the data cable to arrive. I will let you all know how the conversion goes.
So far the phone itself looks great. It's thinner and lighter than my Verizon Motorola flip phone.

Yoy can't get one in the stores, online or via their normal PCS service number only Telesales 1-866-PCS-AUTO (1-866-727-2886). They still have some in stock, I had mine replaced today because the 1,4,7,and * key quit working.

It's pure bullsh*t of course, Bluetooth has nothing to do with your phone connecting with the cellular system, it only links your phone & the car's handsfree linksys.
I'll give them a few more weeks, then goodbye Verizon, hello ATT, my contract no longer provides the 'tie that binds'.

Typical Verizon response. Why can't they just say "I don't know the answer, but I'll find out" ? I'm on the edge of switching also. I'd like to :ar15: Verizon.

DaveK - Criss is correct, I called Sprint Telesales for the phone. It's 199.00 plus shipping, tax, etc...
MY T608 is working on Verizon. Here are the links I used to do this...

So far, everthing is working as described in the links above. I have bluetooth and all the normal functions of the phone. Web and sending SMS do not work. Receiving SMS does work. This is OK for me because I typically only use the phone to make calls and store names and numbers (which is why I did not wait for the Moto V710 and pay for all the gadgets that are wasted on me).
This phone works great with the TL.

VTECHokie - Thanks for the info. I'm seriously considering doing the same thing. Did the switch to Verizon go ok? The directions from the cellphonehacks site seems pretty straight forward. Just a little gunshy of getting a phone that Verizon doesn't sell.
