What up brotha? Guess I'm lower on the waitlist LOL no call today. So what, should I keep the Pre and wait for the iPhone or just go for the Evo?

As for the EVO...I think you should go with your 1st mind, which was the EVO... I am laggin so far behind with the new phones, since I got my Pre way after the fact... that being said, I would prob get an EVO myself because the iPhone is a distant possibility and the EVO is sitting in our faces... plus, all the tightwads on sprintusers are pretty impressed right now (and they are one serious group of phone geeks, me included...LOL), I have to wait, or drop an EVO on my fourth line that doesn't have a phone currently but has a number...

That's just too ridiculous for words! Winmo is garbage even MS CEO Steve Ballmer will tell you that. There's a reason they killed it, got rid off the head guys in charge of Winmo and are starting over from scratch building a brand new OS with no ties or likeness to Winmo. It's best for you to learn something new and move on, once you try ANY of the MODERN mobile OS you will realize that you were smokin rocks when you raved about WinMo. Do you still use Windows 3.1?

How much is Sprint's data per month? ATT charges $10 (family plan) per line for a non-smartphone and was charging $30 unlimited data. They eliminated that and now charge $15 for 200mb or $25 for 2GB. So the EVO would fall between $15-30 depending on when you got your data plan.

I also posted this in the iPhone thread...
I went by BB yesterday to buy my wife a bluetooth headset and the mobile phone manager had an 3G iPhone and a EVO... the EVO was lighter than I thought and super fast and ran smooth... it didn't hang up at all while I or he was using it... He said the 4 will have a higher screen resolution than the EVO for sure, but in everyday use, he didn't think you would really notice it, anyhoo, he said he would be getting a 4 too when they come out, but then, that is his job... to have the best phones 1st and be able to talk real experience about them... he also said he has to charge his EVO every nite..which was no surprise...at least its not like the TP1 that you had to charge during the day all the time (oh... I hated that phone)... I also got his card, so I can be nosy about the 4... he said there is approx 70% 4G saturation right now in the Houston area... LOL... what zaniness... but I love it still...

I have 4 lines with sprint and have unlimited data and calling and I am almost certain I pay less than that per phone... so

Thing is... now that these new phones are so data heavy... I cannot imagine the overage charges for data on a bill... I have worked so hard to eliminate those (old school phone service)... why would anyone want to go back to that?
I do know one zombie chick who refuses to have anything but phone service and text msgs on her Treo 700...

its because the average iphone users almost never reach even close to 2gb of data in one month, so people that do, at&t wants to cash in on that.
there is no unlimited plan at all anymore.
and its $30 per line..

and that is one thing nice about sprint, with their 69.99 unlimited everything.
but they always say "unlimited mobile to mobile" in their ads, does that mean if i call a land line it costs minutes?

why do they use words like "unlimited talk on our network"
so if i was on sprint and called someone on at&t, is there a charge?
im guessing no thou..
maybe im just thinking to much about it..

its because the data the phones are using really isnt THAT much, but of course when you put in the vast amount of iPhones out there, its no surprise their networks are bogged down.
and you dont really have to monitor it. at&t iirc will send you a free text when you get close to your limit.

...that's cool that they text you, do you have the option to buy more data service? and if so, how much is it?

Going to be leaving Sprint the end of the summer when my contract is up. Work is getting me an iPhone4 and unlimited everything. They already pay for my TP2 but I told them service at my client is crap on Sprint so buh-bye.
SERO is basically dead. No reason for me to stay on Sprint

AUTOMATIC NOTICES – We'll send you a courtesy text and an email after you've reached 65%, 90%, and 100% of your data usage for the month.
on the 2gb/month plan when you reach 2gb, you can get another 1GB for $10 more.

I just hope AT&T has better service where I am.
I'm planning to have both phones active so I can test it out. Worst case is I return the iPhone and try something else.
