I agree with you on the favorite duo. It seems like Madden has been getting better of late and actually not stating the obvious all the time anymore. However, did anybody hear him yesterday...even though I don't want to talk about the game.

Joe Buck is the best. Aikman is a solid color guy. Bill Maas is also good for color. I don't know that CBS has anybody worth a crap, maybe Phil Simms after he got a lot better. I hate when ex-players are brought in that state the obvious (Ron Pitts, Steve Tasker), but I hate guys who insist they were right even after the replay shows they were wrong (Theismann). Or these guys that think every call is right or don't know the rules. Two seconds left and they're screaming that the coach should challenge the ruling.

MNF guys blow, I like Al Michaels and Madden I think only because I play the video game too much, maddens broad "those kind of things" references get annoying sometimes.

Prior to this season, I could not stand the Sunday Night Football announcing team. It was terrible.

I happen to like Greg Gumbel. He has good control of the game at all times. I can't stand Joe Buck for some reason, even though I could agree that he is a good announcer. He works very well with Troy Aikman. Dan Dierdorf is pretty good too, especially when he works with Gumbel.

I was watching Giants-Texans yesterday, and the color man on CBS was making mistake after mistake. He was working with Kevin Harlan, who is by far one of the most annoying announcers in all of sports. It's very unwatchable when you're a fan that knows a lot about the game and the idiot on TV just keeps making mistakes about what you're trying to watch. Aren't they supposed to be experts?

By the way, Madden and Michaels are the best NFL team on TV today, no doubt about it.
