lol yea just noticed it when you said it. I didnt see they have two more silver, while we have 5 more bronze.

I dunno with that record I would say we should be ahead, but my theory goes. 3 point gold, 2 point silver, 1 point bronze.

Gabby Douglas is from my area and she is all the talk around here. We are going to do a parade for when she gets back.

On her way to the women's all-around competition at the London Olympics – arguably the biggest meet of her life – Gabby Douglas had a good feeling.

"I was on the bus and it was raining and I thought, 'It's going to be a great day,' " Douglas, 16, told PEOPLE on Thursday after winning the all-around gold medal. "My mom used to tell me when I was little, 'When it rains, it's God's manifestation, a big day's waiting to happen.' "

"I texted my mom, 'It's raining. You know what that means.' "
She was also pleasantly surprised to learn another bit of trivia about herself. Told by a reporter that she is the only American to have gold medals in both the team competition and the all-around, Douglas replied: "Oh, wow. You learn something new every day."

im actually perplexed that they allow china to compete against each other in a team event..

they won both gold and silver in badminton..

how 'bout they let the US divide the basketball team into two squads and see who plays in the finals...

kinda chicken shit if you ask me.

How are you perplexed? It's a 2 person team sport and each country is allowed multiple teams, just like beach volleyball. The U.S. has played against each other in beach volleyball for gold in the past. This is no different.

US back in the lead with most gold (23 vs 21) and bronze (13 vs 10) medals.

China's in the lead with most silver medals (16 vs 10) and most medals overall (47 vs 46).

They're neck and neck.

Damn those semi's were fast. And Bolt let up the last 1/3 of his run. If he didn't he could have had a new world record. The final will be ridiculous.

Can't quite understand NBC's taping vs airing times.

Why was the men's 100m race on at 11:00 on a Sunday night? It makes no sense to me.
IMO the coverage should pick back up at 7:00 EST after the evening news.
Who gives a shit about Entertainment Tonight or some local yocals trying to cover the Olympics?

Saw a little of the US vs China women's basketball. Man what a waxing. I was entertained and watched some of it but didn't finish as I was running errands.

Bolt man. WOW! Dude had like another gear or his turbo spooled or something. I'm glad Gatlin medaled at least. All day on the internet it said click here if you want to see who won the 100 medal. This tape delay shit is getting me crazy.

I also the USA/Czech women's beach volleyball match. What a great match. They went up to like 25 in the first sent. Then the US was killing them in the second set and CR came back hard. Nice victory to advance.

I heard theres some beef in that game. I saw Melo got punched in the sack. I guess they're taking dirty lessons from Nocioni. I hated that dude on the Bulls.

^^The game did get testy.

All of Argentina plays that way. Noc, Scola, and Ginobili are all floppers or hacks. Its either dirty or veteran savvy, depending on who you root for.

US Women water polo team made it to gold medal match. Coach almost lost it for them.. dumbass. He admitted his mistake, but did his job to refocus team and dominate those cheapass Aussies.
