Those DAMN Yankees! They need to pull it together! Sunday Night's game I went to just sucked. Never a good thing when the opposing teams fans are louder then the home teams....At least I wasn't a part of the pain Saturday.

Yanks fans are probably just nervous about this upcoming series against the D-Rays.

The D-Rays have been making life hell for either the Sox or the yanks for the last few years now.

I was more anxious watching the Yanks play the Rays than when they play the Sox lately. The Rays do have the Yanks number this year.

Neither the sox nor yanks have a problem turning it up to face each other, but when a team like the rays comes along they seem to just take the games for granted.

Well it all comes down to who wants it more right now, because both teams end the season playing a series against Baltimore and Toronto. Against Baltimore the Yankees are 7-6 and against Toronto they are 10-5 while Boston against Toronto is 5-9 and against Baltimore is 7-8 ..The last series of the season is Yankess vs Boston in Boston with the season series at 9-6 Yankees. On paper the Yankees got it but that's why they play the game. I suggest the Yankees do not pitch to Ortiz in any key situations.

All games against non-contenders at this point are likely to be gimmes. The opponents will be just going through the motions in some cases. It's going to come down to the wire, but I don't feel good about either team's chances if/once they get into the playoffs.

come on bro then why did last place TB take two of three from the Sox. this is the big leagues, no one lays down for anyone. the teams that are out of it relish the spoilers role

Because of this man:

And I think you're giving those teams too much credit. At this point in the season they're more concerned with getting some of their prospects some big league playing time and keeping their big-$ players from getting injured. There's way too much money involved.

Hey, I just pointed out a fact. Where's the smack talk? Personally, if you asked me a month ago, I would've told you the Yankees wouldn't have even made the playoffs. This isn't even close to being over. That Yanks-Sox series at the end of the year will be HUGE. And you've gotten be kidding me about smack talk -- Sox fans talk just as much shit, it's just now the situation is reversed. Now you know how Yankee fans felt every time Sox fans talked shit when we won.

OHHHHH Red sawx have been choking lately huh??? Yanks are gonna take the Sawx in the series at the end of the season its gonna be like it is every year. But I think the Sawx will take the wild card and it'll be another crazy playoff with both these teams.
