OK, somebody explain this concept in baseball......
If the yanks win 1 of 3, they will have the same record as the sox. But they will lead the season series between them 10-9. so why do they play a tiebreaker?
I am not familiar with this in baseball. In every other sport, the first tiebreaker is the record between the two tied teams.
