If they're both 100%, that might happen against detroit.

detroit's big guys:
- ben wallace
- rasheed wallace
- elden campbell
- antonio mcdyess
- darko milicic

even if shaq and alonzo were 100% and/or play at the same time, detroit has too many big men to throw at them. detroit's "d" is no joke. heck, you can even add darvin ham to that list at 6'7" 240 lbs. he's like charles barkley (not as good but frame wise). detroit is looking more and more like a defending champion team in the playoffs.

and damn, why the hell they did put the bulls game on NBA tv. us poor people can't afford that channel. guess i'm stuck watching the phoenix game on tnt . though marion is my favorite player off that team. hope he plays tonight after spraining that wrist.

Do I have the $20 bet with you? I know its with 2 guys on here, if its you be prepared to lose it, you cant shut down wade and shaq at the same time.

No, you dont have a bet with me... and were talking about the same team that shut down shaq, kobe, payton, and malone (when he has healthy).

Um, that wasn't a team they shut down, that was a bunch of individuals. Miami is a team, which is exponentially harder to "shut down".

we'll just have to wait and see... San Antonio, Detroit, Phoenix, and Chicago are the fourteams I see that have the best team chemistry right now. Chicago is the only team which doesnt have enough talent to go all the way, and I question Phoenix's defense.

Miami is good, really good, but they havent proven to me that they are championship material.

i'd bet but neither are my team. i'm not saying miami sucks. but even barkley and k smith have no idea how they would play against detroit. as far as wade goes, from your post, you're saying that prince can't handle wade? doubt they'll put hamilton on wade. but we're looking too far into the future. these guys won't even have a chance to play until the conference finals (if they both make it out of the second round)

so let's say detroit and miami make it out of the first round - which it seems like they will 2-0 against they're opponents

2nd round:
detroit's 2nd round is a lot harder than miami's 2nd round. detroit will have to face either boston or indiana while miami will face chicago or washington (both teams lack playoff experience and none have been in the playoffs for more than 6 seasons - bulls 1998 and washington, i can't even remember, maybe late 80s early 90s)

fatigue may play a big part in the alleged conference finals match up. if detroit doesn't sweep or take it in game 5 in the 2nd round, miami may have an advantage (assuming miami sweeps or win in 5 games in the 2nd round)

to beat a defensive team, you must match it with defense

Yea heats defense sucks right , eddie jones, mourning, shaq, and wade are all good defensive players, and I cant wait for damon jones to light up detroit with his 3 point shooting, how are you going to defend that.

Miami already has the advantage, they have Home Court.

With Shaq in the lineup, the two teams played twice in Detroit. Once detroit eeked out a 1 point win. The other time, Miami beat them by double digits. Not to mention Miami is almost unbeatable at home.

I say miami in 6 or 7 if they play detroit.

you can't. The only way for Heats to lose is if they get too cocky.

Now on the reverse topic. I'm in NJ, a sixers fan.

SIXERS SUCK!!! Last night's game is hilarious, sixers played like they're bunch of rookies.

forever

anyone who calls last year's lakers team a "team" is sorely mistaken. It was like watching a late 90s all-star game 82 times.

Chemistry is a huge part of it... I reference again the 2004 heat... holy shit that team didnt have a center, but they sure as hell had chemistry which is why they got as far as they did.

I still think that they could have beaten Indiana... probably not Detroit, but definitely the Indy series should've been alot closer. Alot of it was due to inexperience I think.

the 3pt shooting doesn't seem impressive nor a threat against detroit. d jones is in the top 5 in the 3pt category but against detroit, he's not. i'm not a fan of either team but i love basketball and i would love to see these 2 teams play in the conf finals. but the fact of the matter is, that the bulls will come out of the east

it's hard for any team to win at Arco arena, that's for sure. However, we have done it before this season so nothing's impossible.

did you listen to Bibby answering reporters' questions? you can tell he and his team is totally dejected. they simply aren't playing as a team and he admitted that. unless they conjure up some team chemistry in the next couple of days, the kings are DONE.

Just proves we don't need 3pt shooting to beat Detroit.

Damon Jones is so underrated. He was 2nd in the league for total 3pt shots made but was only short by 1 3pointer from Kyle Korver Phi and Quentin Richardson Phx. Jones needed less attempts too.

I'm a Heat fan but I'm scared of Detroit. If we can shut down the outside shooting of Billups and Hamilton and Wade can get around Prince who's playing out of his mind then we're good.

Oh and don't sleep on Eddie Jones. He's shutting down Vince Carter who was averaging 30 when he got traded. And yes 6-16 21 pts in Game 2 but it's called garbage time.

Doom878: ya shutting down those 2 may help beat them. but if billups is starting to have a bad game, he'll dish out assists and if hamilton is having a bad game, he'll get you in the charity stripe. i really hate to see them play chicago in the second round (if it happens)

Bulls win again! Up 2-0...! And tonight, another hero emerged (Hinrich in Game 2 as compared to Nocioni in Game 1)...
