The looks on the Pistons' faces are the same looks we saw on Lakers' faces last year. They don't know what hit em' and don't know how to make it stop. Its like they've already given the Spurs their best shot and failed.

I also see alot of forced shot attempts, which shows with the poor fg percentage detroit is shooting at.
San Antonio has done a good job of exploiting a major weakness for detroit, and that is that their team offense depends heavily on rip hamilton. For all you s that were knocking miami for depending on their stars too much, have a taste of your own medicine. But I'm not going to jump to the same conlusions, and say that detroit isn't deep enough or they aren't enough of a "team".

Fact is, detroit (heat, spurs, whoever) has weaknesses just like anybody else. One major thing with detroit is that they always run their offensive sets through rip whenever he is on the floor. When they can't get the ball to him - which has been a problem with bowen in his hip pocket all night - they start to abandon their sets and play one-on-one basketball. We all know that's not piston basketball, but SA has done a perfect job of forcing the pistons to do what they don't want to do.

This is why there is posting up without the extra pass and forced shots, because rip usually requires the whole defense to watch for him when he's moving without the ball. But thanks to bowen, the most SA has to do is hedge a little on pics away from the ball. This bogs down the movement and rotation of all the other pistons on the floor because they can't move as freely, and hence no room for the extra pass, which leads to forcing jumpers or going one-on-one.

Detroit needs to find a way to get rip away from bowen, or get their offense going away from rip. If they can't do either of those, this series will be no contest.

you got that right! I say fuck the pistons, I hate that team. I call them Detroit PissedOns.

I predict the serie will come back to SA for game 6 and Spurs take a 4-2 win.

A few notes:

1. What's up with the Spurs PA announcer? He's gotta have the most annoying voice in the whole league hands down.

2. What's up with Coach Brown - he's being shamed by his protege.

3. Pistons main weakness is low post scoring - as it always been, we miss the Big Nasty *Corliss Williamson.

4. Manu is tenacious, I'll give him credit for that - even if he should be nicknamed flop city.

5. I'm waiting for the Tony Parker/Eva Longoria sex tape (please)!

1.
2. Where has the D gone?
3. Pistons don't rotate the ball quick enough so they get no open jumpers.
4. How many more of those difficult shots are gonna fall for this guy. Its like he made a pact with
5. Less Tony, more Eva

On another thread, someone said Detroit lost Game 1 because of will smith.

Finally detroit pistons have awaken. The way they played yesterday was their game. It's going to be a good series now that detroit knows how to win.

Key detroit players that performed:
Billups
Hamilton
McDyece
Big Ben

If they can keep the intensity up, they will go back to san antionio with a 1 game lead.

SA will win at least one in Detroit. Historically and statistically, Detroit doesn't have a chance. I was expecting Detroit to atleast win one game, so there we go.

Anyone else think that this series is boring to watch?

Detroit plays very well under pressure, like they did yesterday. Being down 3-1 is not an option for detroit, so they will come out with full force in the next game as well, so if the spurs don't win the next game, they will be in trouble.

I initially thought it will turn out to be a boring series, but in reality I think it is quite interesting to watch. My 2 cents.

Billups is a good player, but he's not "clutch" like Horry. I am a sixers fan,and I remember the 2001 NBA finals, Horry dropped a 3 pointer for the lakers last second and secure the win. I'm glad Detroit lost last night, I can't stand Detriot and that Ric Hamilton. The very last shot, Hamilton played dirty by using an elbow on Parker.. what a scrub.
It's over for Detroit and I'm glad that trashy Larry Brown can retired as a NBA finals loser once again ( I used to like him at sixers, then he faked a retirement then went with detroit a month later)
San Antonio has only lost 3 games at home in regular season, and they'll take game 6.

For all you Detroit fans out there, suck on this

I still have hope for detroit, all they need to do is concentrate on winning game 6. If they can do that, anything can happen in game 7. We all know detroit comes through under pressure.

Still rooting for detroit.

on a side note, game 5 was pretty exciting to watch, it took 5 games for both teams to adjust to each other. Hopefully the next two will be just as much fun to watch. And can someone kill horry, thanks.

I believe if Detroit wins game 6, they will take game 7. Then again, I think game 6 belongs to San Antonio because they're at home, crowd will be fired up, players will be pumped.. hey, it's the NBA FINALS. I hope SA wins game 6 on Tues cuz I wanna see Larry Brown go down as #2 coach again.

You do realize that SA only lost 3 games all season at home. Detroit gave SA everything they had last night and lost. If Duncan was playing like normal and making free throws, it wouldn't have went into overtime. Detroit is done!

I do realize that, but this is the nba finals, and they are playing against detroit facing elimination. Don't count anyone out just yet, the fun is just starting.

Stick a fork in them, they are done. The fun was last game. Detroit gave them everything they had last game and lost. SA are the 05 NBA Champions.

We do....The Spurs are going to win the next game. Detroit doesn't have an answer for SA. Maybe if Horry wasn't playing in game 6 they would have a chance
