Is it bad that I didn't know what "MNF" stood for until reading the article?

I can't stand Joe Theissmann's announcing - you could pair him with anyone and there'd still be no rapport because no one else likes to talk about Joe Theissman like he does.

The list of possible replacements isn't particularly impressive either. Emmitt Smith?

MNF is a mere shadow of its former self.

Jaws would be a good replacement. He knows his shit.

Theismann is a blowhard. Like Madden, every player who happens to make a play, or even be close to play, is "one of the best in the league at <fill in the blank>"

I believe that was Joe Namath. Although Jaworski and Theismann could also probably care less about the Jets too.

I like the upgrade. He's got an energy about him that isn't about himself, sort of like a Madden without an ego, and minus 45 breakfasts and 2 lbs of makeup.

Well...it's a start, howabout canning Kornheiser and Tirico as well...? To be honest, why don't they hire Tom Jackson? I always liked his analysis and comments on Primetime.

Not until TJ gets some teeth whitening treatment. Dont know if he's a smoker, but he has some of the nastest teeth.

I rather have Joe Buck as the play-by-play guy. But I'm sure he's contracted with Fox...

Tirico is not bad. He and Jaworski would be just fine, IMO. Kornheiser is not the best third man, but he's a quantum leap better than Paul McGuire.

Dunno, MNF is just not the same without Michaels, Dierdorf, and Gifford.

For the love of God, get rid of Paul McGuire too. I've been bitching about from the start.

Michaels, Dierdorf, and Gifford was the dream team

That's what I was thinking... I can't fucking stand Kornhole.... he makes me almost not even want to listen to MNF.... They need to get Aikman on there... he is by far the best analyst that they have.

You guys are fucking nuts. Dierdorf is a piece of shit and a complete hyprocrite. He's said sooooo many stupid things over the years. The most recent one I can remember is the Chargers/Bengals game where McCree lays the wood on Houshmanzada. And he starts ranting and raving about how it was a cheap shot and the league should fine him and all this other bullshit. And only MINUTES prior, he was talking about the old days and how he had to play dirty and what not

The guy shows favortisim and no one calling a game should do that.

heh, I only remember Dierdorf from my adolescent years. Maybe its more of a nostalgia thing. Dierdorf was probably making stupid comments then and I never picked up on it. I understand more about football now than I did then.

<-- Hall of Famer
