Apparently it wasn't the first time Wilson laid Stokely out either - from last year's game:
http://www.patsfans.com/stories/disp...?story_id=2379

"In addition to the pressure on Manning, the Patriot defensive backs laid the lumber on Colt wideouts, the most impressive being Wilson smacking both Brandon Stokely and Reggie Wayne in the fourth quarter just prior to Law's fourth and final pick. "

Probably a tad late to chime in...but, I did watch the game yesterday between the Pats and the Colts. All I can say is wow. The Patriots put out a clinic yesterday on how to play a perfect game.

Now, if only the team I cheer for could ever play this well on both sides (not since 1985).

WTF the Pats are 1-1 favorites to win it all?!?! I guess everyone is taking the Steelers' performance against the Jets to heart. Hopefully it was just a bad game. I think they deserve more respect than that.....but I must admit, I am slightly worried about the Patriots.

(Steelers fan if you couldn't tell)

The shakey performance against the Jets has alot to do with it IMHO...

Belichick is 13-0 in the 2nd game when facing the same Quarterback twice in one season... I don't think there was that much film available on Roethlisberger to use to prepare for week 6 either.

We lost Ty Law during that loss to the Steelers, Matt Light also went out, and Dillion wasn't playing at all in that game. The players that went in for Law in that game were totally unprepared for it... They now have had 10 weeks to prepare and practice, and from the way they shut down the Colt's, I'd have to say our defense is probably better then it was in week 6. If you watched the Colts/Pats game you saw how the running game kept the Colts offense off the field.

These are just a couple of reasons why the Pats are favored in an away game...

I don't think it was Ben that beat you.. I think it was the 200+ yards rushing I think that hurt the Pats.. Don't need any film on Ben..

I'm not a huge football fan, but I would have liked to see the Jets not choke. At this point I would have to say "Go Stealers!!!" Someone should set up a poll for this one.

Anyways, found this earlier. Maybe could be the answer to the Brian situation for the Jets.

Ooofff !! I've never researched what the records of the Steelers opponents this year were, but I vaguely remember someone saying that the Eagles only played 3 teams with a win/lose percentage above .500

I think that Pats hurt themselves alot that week.

For some reason, I really don't like "Da Bus"

Can't blame Philly for playing in the NFC .. There was only 3 teams that finished above .500 in the NFC right?

Rushing stats from the previous game:
att yds td longst
D. Staley 25 125 0 11
J. Bettis 15 65 1 29

Don't like "da bus" or staley?

I don't like either of 'em when they are playing the Pats

Staley's been hurt, right (but played in the Jets game) ?? so that's why I didn't mention him.

Yea they are both banged up pretty bad.. Staley has a ongoing hamstring.. Not sure what his true status is.. And Bettis has been having knee problems..
