I don't think the AB to Buffalo deal is finalized yet. They weren't a team I was expecting to get him.
49ers have seemed indifferent on AB, instead there's rumblings that they're going after OBJ! I still prefer a franchise edge rusher for our 2nd overall.

I don't know - AB has to go somewhere where he'd be the undisputed queen bee. That's a short list of teams. And Allen has some promise....
Of course I'm really only looking at it from a fantasy football perspective. Not sure where the franchise is headed...

The Buffalo Bills will not be adding Antonio Brown to their roster after all.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane released a statement Friday morning confirming that the team was engaged in trade talks with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but have now moved on. We inquired about Antonio Brown on Tuesday, and kept talks open with the Steelers,” Beane said. “We had positive discussions, but ultimately it didn’t make sense for either side. As great a player as Antonio Brown is, we have moved on and our focus is on free agency.”

You guys signed a kicker named Blewitt but then again, we franchise tagged a kicker...

Yeah, I think he's just part of the group competing for that job. I would be shocked if Chicago doesn't add an experienced kicker to replace the that was Parkey.

Unreal.
So, full-on diva in effect. He's handcuffing the team that made him who he is by refusing to report. Basically, any team can low-ball the Steelers for him knowing Brown will only go to select franchises of his choosing.
That being said, Pittsburgh could also say FU and let him sit like Bell.
What a mess.

I'm not sure how a deal like this helps the Pats if there really isn't a need Will be interesting to see what the 2019 Pats lineup looks like seeing they didn't use the franchise tag on any of the FA and have a dozen or so picks early in the draft. In Bill we trust...........

Suspended Cowboys DL David Irving announces NFL retirement by lighting up blunt on Instagram
Given a choice between his NFL career and marijuana, it seems Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving is emphatically choosing the latter.
The 25-year-old announced his decision in apt fashion on Thursday, blasting the NFL and defending his weed consumption ... while apparently smoking weed.
“I’m in the NFL because I’m great at what I do,” Irving said in a previous Instagram post. “I’m not in the NFL because I’m an Eagle Scout, or the perfect model citizen.
Not knowing what his next NFL team will be or when it will be, Irving decided to instead go on Instagram Live and tell fans he’s done with the league.
“So, basically guys, I quit,” Irving said with a smile. “They want to talk about a suspension and all this other nonsense. I’m outta there. I’m not doing this s—- no more. It’s a lot of reasons.”

Cowboys DL David Irving’s NFL career literally goes up in smoke
Weeks before becoming an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career, Irving was suspended indefinitely by the NFL for a third violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. The Iowa State product had been suspended for the first four games of both the 2017 and 2018 season for previous violations.“I’m in the NFL because I’m great at what I do,” Irving said in a previous Instagram post. “I’m not in the NFL because I’m an Eagle Scout, or the perfect model citizen.

Raiders agree to record deal with OT Trent Brown 9 minutes into 'tampering period'
It’s a good thing we have a “legal tampering period” in NFL free agency. That prevents teams from ever talking to potential free agents about contracts before that period begins.
The Oakland Raiders are just really fast at negotiating deals. They agreed to a four-year, $66 million deal with $36.75 million guaranteed, the largest contract ever for an offensive lineman, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter tweeted that news at 12:09 Eastern time. The tampering period started at 12 p.m. The Raiders, who somehow were rumored to be interested in Brown for a while but wouldn’t dream of tampering before it was allowed, negotiated a $66 million deal in nine minutes apparently.
Given that it had to take some time to text Schefter, and for him to then tweet the news with the exact figures, the Raiders had to have actually negotiated that deal with the former Patriots tackle in less than nine minutes. What an impressive feat.
Long story short: You want Jon Gruden doing your taxes, or any incredibly complicated contractual matter you have. There’s clearly no chance they broke the rules and talked to Brown about a contract before the tampering period.

During his time in New England he was listed around 360 but a mountain of a guy nonetheless. Did a nice job protecting Brady last season and apparently is getting compensated big time now.

Agreed and the Michael Bennett acquisition isn't really costing much either. The late round draft picks (5th and 7th - I think?) we gave up are hardly ever used by Belichick and staff.
