Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but I think if anything this will make Kraft even more popular, I mean, at his age? Good for him, he's my hero.

Yeah - I see that side (this is what my wife said) but.......... I think he has a girlfriend 30 years his junior or maybe he had? Oh and let's give credit where do - he isn't 70, he is 77.

Likely his son (or someone else) will take over. But I highly doubt he himself will remain the head honcho of the Patriots any longer and if his own company is run by a board...he may be ousted by his own board also from the Kraft Group....

Don't even see that happening.

No way he sells the team. An embarrassment, yes but I don't see this as a big deal. It's a misdemeanor and he still has to be proven guilty - although supposedly there is video. Dumbass move, lapse in judgement, etc...... He will get a year probation and likely won't even have to appear in court.

Bet Kraft's lawyer team is in full speed right now....

I've spoken to several people in law enforcement at various levels and surprisingly some of them are actually for legalization of prostitution. It would take away power from the criminal organizations that run these things, and give protections to the workers employed in the field.
An acquaintance of mine works for an organization that helps out former sex workers. It's sad because many of these women don't speak English and are completely new to the country, without family or friends locally to help them out. They're lured here under false pretenses, then are trapped. Basically what the Redskins cheerleaders went through, but magnitudes worse.
It's not necessarily an indictment on Kraft himself, but there are problems related to it that aren't apparent on the surface. Nobody in their right mind willingly comes to a strange country to give happy endings to strangers.

This is a story for a few days and then I think it fades into the background. I doubt Kraft will alter anything regarding his role in the organization. Remember this is a country where paying $135k to cover up sex isn't a big deal and certainly doesn't cost you your job. My vote is this blows over if he lays low.
However everything I said would change obviously if this brothel turned out to really have a human trafficking issue or involved minors. The worse this place is, the worse it will be for him.

Oh I could careless about some billionaire visiting an asian massage parlor....rich (and poor) dudes probably do that all the time and don't get caught.
I was simply predicting the possible public backlash/reaction. He's head of a very visible and VERY popular NFL team....there are bound to be pressures from the NFL and other owners and the society at large that won't "keep their morals to themselves" and lash out. Hence my thinking he could be pressured to retire/relinquish control.
Also there's the possibility of a video being leaked.
Though the Kraft Group may not be as affected...depending on how/or if the Kraft Group has an executive board that can overpower Kraft himself....

If it was rumored that Kraft was seen lighting up a joint though... ban this man and all of his kin for the rest of eternity.

Dang, maybe I'm overreacting then. I could be projecting too much and think people/NFL/society actually cares about this kind of stuff. Maybe not.

The article was updated saying he is not being charged with Human Trafficking.
it did say he’s supposedly a regular there.
wtf? Why would a billionaire goto some public cheap sleazy massage parlor for a happy ending?
Hasn’t this guy heard of incalls with “escorts”?
Also why risk being recognized and blackmailed?

Hate to say it, but I agree with the “no one will care” comment. The Super Bowl is the largest human trafficking event in the US annually. It’s been known for years.
The police and a bunch of people who don’t buy NFL tickets care. That’s about it.

I'm not sure - this morning I saw the police reporting they have two videos of Kraft "receiving services". That's difficult to get around. His legal team might be focused on minimizing sentencing......

Jim Irsay was suspended 6 games in 2014 for a DUI

The NFL likes to hand out arbitrary forms of punishment. I don't think anything will happen to Kraft, but things are gonna get awkward in the organization and within his family.

Local news in MA have had legal experts giving their $0.02. First you have to remember the charges are misdemeanors and then add the fact that he has no criminal background/history. They are saying (speculating??) that he won't have to appear in court, will likely be represented by his legal team and will likely get a year of probation and potentially some community service hours.
As others have mentioned above, the bigger deal is having to deal with family, friends, business partners and the NFL / Goodell.

I don't recognize any of the names but my understanding is there is a former Citibank CEO and another big wheel financial name there as well. I also saw something from Adam Schefter eluding to the fact there is another name bigger than Kraft's that has yet to be disclosed.
