I watched it all - the energy was completely different with Mayfield. His passes - for the most part - looked very sharp. Quick release, decisive throws. I think the fact he came in an overcame the deficit for the first win in 600+ days probably gets him the start going forward. I think there would be a riot if not based on the fact the crowd was chanting for him. He's got a ways to go of course, so I don't think he's going to set the world on fire but I think he'll make them more competitive than they have been. I'm not picking him up for fantasy - they are clearly emphasizing the run game and ran most of the time on short-and-goal.

But I was happy for Cleveland. Would have been fun game to be at.

Totally agree he will be the starter going forward, just hope he's more prepared than Johnny Football or the other assclowns they've had over the years. I saw a pic someone posted from the stadium and it was empty, hardly anyone there to witness such an amazing comeback which I think is a shame. Definitely happy for Cleveland, even though they now have a better record than the Steelers

Would love to see the Browns take over the AFC North in the coming years. Don't see that happening with Hue at the helm though.

As of this moment they are 2nd in the AFC north. When was the last time that sentence was used....

I like a good turn-around story. All those first rounders they've had over past 2-3 years will come together eventually.

Chiefs kingdom is ecstatic right now. Finally a franchise QB who can sling it out. Now we just gotta build up our D.

Russell should be given an opportunity to prove himself but yeah, if the allegations are true, kick him out of baseball.

He's on administration leave. Not sure you'll get a lifetime ban for beating your wife's ass. What's the precedent?

Osuna...? And that's unresolved? Dunno.

We should take this to the MLB thread, Doomie.

Exactly. In just 2 games he is already in the GOAT conversation with the likes of Rodgers and Brady. Another record: shortest NFL debut to be talked about as a GOAT. Mahomes is an absolute unit.

In fairness, Mahomes is on a much better team and Trubisky didn't play with a real offense last year. He wasn't really allowed to do anything.

That being said, Mahomes has been nuts.

Oh yeah for sure. Mahomes had a year to basically bake in the oven and study/learn behind AS11 and work with Big Red.

Super pumped that it looks like the chiefs are finally relevant again after so much mediocrity. Alex Smith took us as far as he could and now we can finally look forward to more post season games....

I am no Mitch defender because I am still bewildered how Chicago bid against themselves and sold the farm to SF for the rights to pick him.

BUT...to compare Mitch to Masherlock is not fair right now given the former had a poor system to develop in last season and now, is learning an entire new one under Nagy. IF, now IF, Mitch goes into next season and is still this uneven, yeah...the comparison is completely valid. And FWIW, I had hoped Chicago would pick Masherlock.

I guess the one good thing for steelers fans is the Patriots don't believe in RBs so he's not coming here

Wow, 49ers done. So sad, would've been interesting to see how Jimmy G could perform this season....

Refs really fucked the Niners. Phantom OPI in the red zone, and that bs DPI.

If Jimmy is out, this season is over. He made a bad decision there, not trying to just get out of bounds. DBs not named Richard seemed to have regressed, despite expectations. No outside pass rush.

On the bright side, there were a lot of expats and even a couple of locals that were NFL fans here in Munich. Lot of Niners fans here. Chiefs, Seahawks, eagles, cowboys and Rams too.

Everybody I talked to was cool.

Kinda like Wentz last year, trying to make plays that you don't need to

Detroit Lions: We're going to give up 48 points to a former 5-11 team with a rookie QB.

Also Detroit: We'll hold the former AFC champs with Tom Brady to 10.

I'm starting to think Belichick does this on purpose. Every single September they go 2-2 and look like absolute dog poop. Then October hits and they win like 10 in a row

FWIW, it's harder to cheat and win when the defense is missing some key players.

I think the Pats will be just fine once everyone is on the field and if their new WR can actually be a goot boi and play to his talents, yeah, Boston will be right back in it...cheating and winning.
