There is a stigma regarding firing someone during a serious illness like that, or even after. It's as if as an organization, you don't expect them to recover. Really bad for something like a sports team which is under the public eye at all times.

No joke. Dude is a 60 year old frat boy

I know but it was a year too late. He should have been fired on the spot after drafting a WR in the first round in 2015

Oh, agreed. Luck is being wasted because of the way that roster was put together. What I've read about Grigson is he is a shining example of the Peter Principle. Great scout, terrible GM. In related news...

Read that Warren Sapp is going to donate his brain for research. But now I'm thinking an NFL player who did fucked up shit is going to claim brain disease to try to get off.

Hes only 44yrs old so when I hear stuff like this you wonder if that person is suicidal. Otherwise it will probably another 30yrs until we see the results

The only QBs to win a superbowl in since 2000 without a top ten defense (scoring) are Peyton (23), Brees (20), Flacco (12), and Eli... twice (25,17)

In that same span, 10/17 winners had a top 3 scoring defense.

Agree to some point. But like you've stated before its a "team" game. The Giants (2nd) Broncos (4th) Vikings (6th) Bengals (8th) were all in the top 10 in defense last year but were no where close to competing for a championship

It takes well rounded teams win super bowls

For sure, it doesn't really matter if you have the #1 offense or defense if your team is trash on the other side of the ball.

Thought it was interesting. I think the Patriots are like the only team to never have the same RB have consecutive seasons with 1000 yards rushing. The one constant is Brady

The RB situation in NE is kinda annoying.

We basically plug and play with any dude off the street and it works most of the time but there are definitely times where they show their inexperience. I always wonder what would happen if we had a top 5-10 RB

Tannehill injures same knee as last year in practice:

https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/08/03/ry...ractice-update

Non-contact injury. They are waiting on MRI results. Supposedly they are starting to talk about Kaepernick as a backup plan...

That had some funny stories. I think my favorite quote is, "...I know who's open. I'm the quarterback, I'll throw it to whoever the f--- I want!'"

I think he's going to avoid surgery again and just strengthen it like last year and roll the dice.

Too bad about Tannehill - from a Fantasy FB perspective, the MIA WRs were getting some hype this year. Maybe not so much now....
