Comparing the Eagles to the Heat is pretty lame. The Eagles won't even sniff .500. I know Yum jokes with it but come on. Last I checked DWade was a leader.

Yours, they beat nobody. And when they played Chicago, it was at a time when Cutler had no O-line.

Sorry but whoever said the Eagles were the best team said it before the 1st game of the season. Unfortunately it's a team of superstars with no leaders and no team mentality.....a.k.a. Miami Heat.

We'll see what happens next season with a new head coach
Take it with a grain of salt, N...I'm more mocking how the Eagles were picked as the team to beat before the first snap this season given their pick-ups in free agency.

Not hating the team per se. My hate is reserved strictly for the Dikes and Fackers.

I've been a chargers fan for a while and I don't live in SD.

I liked them when they were losing like right now.

Cowboys fan since I could walk. Old man was classmates with Roger Staubach at Annapolis. Whenever Staubach would come out for the Pro Bowl, he would have an event for all the Naval Academy grads.

Sorry but I don't have a pro football team on my tiny island. That's a inane and stupid comment that only people who live in the vicinity of an NFL team are "true" fans.

I stuck with the Cowboys through 1-15 seasons and will always root for them even though Romo is continues to disappointment in January.

Doesn't Cutler and Rivers have this hate-thing going...? Or did they bury that...?

Actually, don't really know the reason why they dislike each other so much.

I'm with the doc on this one. Fan of the Steelers since the early 90s.

I'll admit I became a vikes fan when they were pretty good. Mostly though because Cunningham to a rookie moss, was one of the most exciting football to watch at the time. I was kinda looking for a new team for a few years after the Raiders and Rams left LA (as much as a 10 year old can look for a new team).

I think some teams just tend to attract bandwagoners (lakers, yankees, cowboys), but it shouldn't be generalized to all fans outside their home market. There are probably way more bandwagon Laker fans in LA than outside LA, hahah.

I've been a 49er fan since I first started watching football in the 80's (born in 81). All my uncles were heavy into football betting in the 80's and always told me to root for hte 49ers. Then for Xmas and stuff they would always give me 49ers gear....so I guess I was brain-washed, which is funny considering they all laugh at the 49ers now.

I live in NJ but have been to two games in San Francisco and a bunch of games in East Rutherford / Philly when they play the Jets, Giants or Eagles.

Poser? Not much considering I've been the laughing stock of my office for the last 8 years. Your football team is like your child, no matter how much they disappoint you.....you still always root for them and always want the best!

Been a Niners fan since the 80's and I will die a Niners fan. Also, I have never lived in S.F., but visit as often as possible. Plus, I was surrounded by Rams fans (family had season tickets until the move to STL) and was able to defend against the brainwashing. I loved going to MNF every year when it was the Rams vs 49ers, trash talking as a kid was fun.

Sounds about right, cheering for a team at the time they were winning, just like most Cowboys fans who cheered for them when they were winning in the '90's.

I'm not going to lie... I wasn't always a Niners fan, but have been following Vernon Davis since he was @Maryland. When he went to play for the Niners, they became one of my "teams". Basically, there are teams I like, teams I hate, and some teams I just don't care if they win or lose.

In my defense, I was seven years old and had no concept of front running. I initially became a fan because my friend that was on my soccer team liked the 49ers because of his family being hardcore Niners fans and I've been a dedicated fan since. Sorry to disappoint, but I didn't like them because they were winning.

But I do remember when the Cowboys only won one game in '89 and then a few years later became SB champs, then all of sudden everyone is a Cowboys fan...this is only a part of why I have a lifelong hatred for them.

No poser here son. Born and raised in Los Angeles. 10 minutes away from the L.A. Coliseum. Grew up watching all of Los Angeles sports with my cousins and uncles. I was 8 yrs old when the RAIDERS last won a championship in 1983 and 19 yrs old when they went back to Oakland. But I continue to root for the silver and black bcuz they were a huge part of my childhood and upbringing. Win or lose. And for many, many years it's been lose. But hey, u can't win 'em all, and at least they're making a lil noise for now and a true fan will always support the effort of their team and root for them no matter what!
Unlike all the posers that u mentioned that jumped on dallas, or denver, or new england, etc...once they started winning. None of those fools (bandwagon jumpers) were around when those teams were losing and now they're the loudest ones talking shiet! Lol...w/e mang! I'm loyal to my teams.
BTW...I also root for the DODGERS, the LAKERS, the KINGS, and USC. All L.A. teams!
And no, I don't have a shaved head and a body covered in tattoos.
I'm an honest guy, making and honest living, that enjoys watching/attending sporting events like the rest of u fine folks.

oops...my bad, I called u son but just noticed ur ten yrs my senior.

Give me a break. When you're a kid, you cheer for whoever your family told you to cheer for....you wear whatever they give you for Christmas and you become associated with that team. The fake fans dropped off the wagon a long time ago and replaced all of their 49ers jerseys with Patriots jerseys....I went to see the 49ers play in San Francisco when they finished 4-12 and 6-10.

What about cheering for them when they stink?? I wore my 49ers gear proudly throughout the years in support, even between 2004-2007 when the 9ers had a combined record of 18-46. I have my 49ers helmet on display in my office at work even though I can't remember what it felt like to have a winning record...

Meh, that just started happening 3 years ago. Was never a Bills fan. But love going to Ralph Wilson.

Doesn't seem to be any members from Buffalo around here.

LOL I can agree with Jupiter to an extent. The mass of Cowboys fans we have in the DC area is disgusting. Most are bandwagoners and hopped on when the Cowboys were winning in the 90s or they are just attracted to the star on the helmet.

But when it boils down to it, teams pay for fancy uniforms and to win games/championships because it grows your fan base.

I personally believe people should cheer for the team closest to where they are from but I understand it doesnt work like that.

Actually, dom's a fair-weather 9ers fan. He really is a hardcore Toronto Argos (or Hamilton Ti-Cats) fan...but, since they both are meh this year...esp. the Argos, he's cheering for the better team.

I was so young (10) with the Rams/Raiders left LA, I just remember feeling sad and betrayed. I don't really remember how it was portrayed in the media, or all the details since I was so young. Did a lot of LA people stick with them? I guess every fan reacts differently if their team leaves. I know a few sonics fans that just can't root for the Thunder, but I'm sure some stuck with them, especially if they grew an attachment to KD while he was there.

Growing up with Rams fans I know once they left for STL, that pretty much sealed the deal of never rooting for them, call it betrayal if you want. Most people were pissed with Georgia Frontiere because she moved them due to STL being her home. Anyways, it worked out for the Angels because they got a whole new, revamped stadium to themselves.

When AL (RIP) took the RAIDERS out of L.A. in 1994 I was pissed/sad at the same time, but when the next football season rolled around again I couldn't root for no other team bcuz I felt no connection. Luckily they're still in Cali so I can, and have, attended many games up in the bay area as well as down in SD.
Regardless of whatever team(s) come to L.A., I'll stick to the RAIDERS.
However, if they ever moved out of state and changed their identity and name, thus killing the silver and black forever ala oilers/titans, well then I'd be S.O.L.
I could forgive them for moving away YET AGAIN! But not if the RAIDERS seized to exist altogether!!

Man I've never visited this area of the forum for all these years but we have another 49ers fan.

It was great beating the Giants last weekend although our secondary had a little luck on our side with the dropped balls. I think I'm onboard with Alex now. The way things are going with Harbaugh, we're slowly forgetting the last decade of pain. My guess is we're in for a decade of upside now as it appears he may be the Walsh of our time. I know it's early to make such a statement but boy the guy keeps everyone guessing.

I'll keep it short, just wanted to say whats up to the NFL crew.
