Agreed on the call. I saw the end but apparently the announcers agreed. I didn't entirely hear the rule call though.
I disagree that college kids should do 3 years but it's something you can easily go back and forth. For every LeBron you'll have a Eddy Curry or for every Kevin Garnett you'll have a Kwame Brown. But then how do you factor in Euros like Luka and Dirk.

You have to feel for those kids who have their families that are struggling and they are doing everything possible to help them get to a better life. I do agree its a bad idea to hand over millions to kids and families that have no idea how to deal with that much amount of money.. Id say when rookies sign their contracts they have to go through a financial course about understanding money and budgeting. Before passing they are given a set amount of dollars and when they pass that course they can get whatever they signed for and retro pay for the money owed. This should be a NBA and Players association rule and not the team's as they can pursue them to pass their star player.

He went to LA for branding purposes, right? Never felt it was a good fit. Then again, if Magic gets some uber-player well, it's on again, I guess.
These super-teams are a bummer though...makes the rest of the League be like retreads. Hope the Bucks or 6ers win it all this year to at these UFA collusions.

Really like the Bucks and 6ers though, TBH, Embiid gets tiring for me sometimes too. He's good but man, he needs to zipit too.

Ahem.
I'm a fan, but even I don't know WTF to expect from them at this point. I almost didn't bother to watch last night. When they were up by 10 I was like . When they were up 20 I kept waiting for them to collapse. Fell asleep (cause it was late and I'm ), woke up and they were up 30, I was like .
I think even their owner recently said that this team could win the Finals this year, or it could exit the playoffs in Round 1. That seems about right.

The Last Twist in the Lakers’ Lost Season: Magic Johnson Resigns
The team’s president of basketball operations announced that he was stepping down before the final game of LeBron James’s disastrous first season with the Lakers
April 9, 2019 10:10 p.m. ET
In a stunning move that managed to make LeBron James’s first season in Los Angeles more dramatic and more disastrous, Magic Johnson resigned as the Lakers’ president of basketball operations on Tuesday night, a sudden decision so unexpected that the legendary NBA player hadn’t even told his own boss yet.
. . . .
Johnson appeared to deliver on his promise to return the Lakers to their place atop the NBA when he landed James last summer. It did not exactly go as they planned.
The Lakers lost. James missed the longest stretch of his career with an injury. The Lakers kept losing. James returned and declared himself “activated” for the playoff chase. The Lakers lost even more. They were officially eliminated from the playoffs in March. James was shut down for the rest of the season not long afterward.

Dirk and Magic clearly trying to steal Wade's shine
It seemed to soon to boot Magic if it was Jeanie's choice. Their leverage and trade packages weren't ideal for NO but they fired their GM too. Everyone knew LA wasn't ready for a run yet. Call it the curse of LeBron In his interview, Magic seemed like he wanted to work with Serena and other players without strings. Honestly I was surprised he took that job because he is an entrepreneur and it seemed like a job like that was too restrictive on his time.
