You guys make me laugh, on at 7 something in the morning calling out Laker fans.

The Jazz played well, Lakers didn't. And it still came down to the wire.

Lakers will still win the series, you can naysay all you want.

They got some crazy fans out there.... I'm kind of glad that Utah won because it's more interesting to watching.

I knew it was tough for kobe to make that shot because when he got the ball, he was almost near half court line... not enough time and too far away.

Same here. I was also suprised by how Ariza and Brown can play. All I can say is that, Lakers team is stacked.

^^To Utah's credit they showed up. Boozer and Deron were great, and Deron was the closer they needed. I honestly don't think the media give them enough credit.

They'd be fourth place in the east, equivalent to Cleveland playing Atlanta in the first round.

Pardon me for being in a pissy mood today. The game was close enough to win it.

There is no team that can match up to Lakers in West.... ESPN were saying that Spurs was the only team that MIGHT had chance to match against Lakers, but now that Manu is out...

I agree, but I guess I'm a nervous person re: the Lakers. I love Trevor and Shannon, but this is truly their first go around in the playoffs. Fish is solid but he should probably start thinking about coaching in the next year or 2. And Bynum came back just before the season ended, so I don't think he's even at midseason level yet. I don't think this team is perfect by any means, even if they do have grade A talent.

Boozer was a monster. I knew it was gonna be a bad night, especially Bynum got into foul trouble and when Pau went "Gasoft" on the Lakers. Hats off to him and Deron.

Kobe bitched about how he didn't had any support to win a championship...well, Kobe got all the help that he needs to win a championship this year. If they don't win then kobe got nothing to say.

Bynum played like 8min at the most? He really needs to stay off foul trouble...

i think utah is really missing okur. When you have to chose between jarron collins and boozer as your center when the lakers have like three 7footers, it probably doesn't bode to well. I wonder if he'll be back for the next game. Having another big body to guard the lakers bigs, and someone that can draw out their biggest defender would really help them.

I was disappointed with the lakers yesterday only cause if you want a championship you can't let the close games go, especially taking a 8 pt. lead into the 4th. No doubt they played much worse than they could've, and it was still close, but it just seemed like they couldn't get stops when they needed them on the defensive end. Lakers can't be giving up 20+ rebounds to a guy like 6-9

Only team that I feel really bad for is New Orleans because 4 of their starting players were injured during the regular season. They are trying so hard, but it's just not there. They aren't the same as last year...

I agree on the Kobe thing, and I think Mitch Kupchack has basically said the same thing after Kobe called him out to "trade Andrew Bynum". Mitch got him Pau and got rid of Kwame and Smush. Kobe himself said that, so as they say, its time to put up or shut up.

NO isn't the same....but the thing is, Denver is nuts now! Dahntay Jones is playing CP3 the way you're supposed to play him, and NO's got absolutely no inside game. So they're toast, sad to say.

Bynum looks like his timing is off. It usually takes him to midseason get it all clicking, so I don't know. I hope he can just be a good defender at this point.

Anyways.....Portland @ Houston tonight. Ought to be good...

wow utah...way to delay inevitable
played the fucking game of their lives and it takes a last shot for them to win
its like the titanic for utah
game 1: they hit the iceberg
game 2: the engines shut down, water began filling the bottom deck
game 3: they found their life boats, thinking they can make it out alive
game 4: lifeboats flip over and occupants drown
game 5: ship sinks, lakers wait for the blazers

Hopefully we get some Heat v Cavs action. The Heat are playing good right now, hopefully they can keep it up.

Cavs>Pistons - done
Heat>Hawks
Celtics>Bulls (unfortunately)
Magic>Sixers

LAL>Jazz
Nuggets>Hornets
Mavs>Spurs
Rockets>Portland

I don't see anyone in the East stopping the Cavs this year, not even if KG returns to the BOS lineup. In fact, he might actually disrupt things a bit if he re-enters the lineup at this point.
Kobe and the Lakers may be facing their toughest battle in the West right now against the Jazz. The winner of the Spurs/Mavs won't be an easy dismissal for the Lakers either. But if they continue to play at a high level, they should meet the Cavs in the finals...
...LAL>CLE 4-2

Trevor Ariza has always been this talented, he just needed the right situation to flourish. I wish he could have stayed with us (in Orlando) but we didn't have a good perimeter presence that Ariza could compliment. He's an awesome defender and a terrific athlete but he needs someone of Kobe's caliber to draw enough attention away from him so he can do his thing.

I feel that the LAL/CLE matchup will be a great one, and it won't be easily won. Both teams are playing at a very high level, and have been throughout the entire season. However, Kobe is playing with a huge chip on his shoulder, and I just don't think he will miss this opportunity to prove that he can do it without Shaq.
I live right near the Bloomfield border near Hoffman Blvd. Are you familiar with that area?

I don't think Rajon Rondo is going anywhere, granted the Celtics can afford to pay him what he's worth. Do you have any idea how much salary space they will have after this year?

Don't forget that both LAL and CLE both lost the finals in the past 2 years, so both Lebron and Kobe will have chips on their shoulders.

in my eyes more so kobe than lebron.
all this kobe shaq drama they claim is over, well it'll never be over until kobe leads us to another championship
lebron still has a ways to go, but if kobe does win this year, the torch will be officially passed and kobe's play will begin to slowly deteriorate
if we do win this year, i say we can win next year, and after that, it'll be lebron's dominance for the next few years.

^^true, Kobe's got more to prove. IMO, while I think Kobe is going to deteriorate, he's a skill player when it comes down to it, so he'll still be fairly lethal as he ages. Athleticism fades, skills stay for a while.

On another note, can anyone tell me how you are suposed to guard a 7'7" 300 pound man if you cant toutch him at all?? Seriously, Im the last person to bitch about the refs but this is getting rediculous, All 5 of Oden's fouls were called off ball and by the same offical..... Turnovers and lack of Rebounding lost the game for us last night, but how are we supoed to rebound when both our centers have 3 fouls before halftime??

They are preventing Yao from establishing position that an offensive player has the right to. The refs are finally starting to get it right.
