Who would have thought Magic would be up 3 - 1 against the Cavs? If the Magic pull it out, I'm riding with them all the way through the Finals!! James needs help and more scoring from his teammates, not talking smack about being the best (Mo ). In the playoffs, nothing's a given!

He needs to score that much because the rest of his team ain't doing shit. They really don't look like the same team that dominated during the regular season and through the first two rounds of the playoffs.

It was almost as if he was out there by himself at times. Question is, who's fault is that? His or everyone else?

I was really hoping to see a Cavs - Lakers final.

Yeah, the Rodney Rogers thing is really sad. I remember when he was playing for the Nuggets..just dunkin over everybody!

Orlando is simply shooting the hell out of that 3 ball! I mean, Lewis' quick turn around 3 pointer was such a sweet shot. I think if the NBA and sponsors want a LeBron/Kobe final for ratings, we are really going to see some questionable calls in both series.

Did anybody run back their DVR's on that tip in that Howard had after Hedo's missed layup? That ball was still touching the rim when Dwight tipped it in, at least it appeared to me that it did..the Cavs could argue that, but should of during the game. I'm surprised that didn't get harder looks by the TNT analysts

I'm a die hard Laker fan and it appears to me that the Nuggets are hella hungry and playing some serious ball right now. I said from the start that the Nuggets were going to give LA nothing but problems.

Some damn good playoff games this year, that is for damn sure!!

Yeah me too, but I guess Magic-Lakers or Magic-Nuggets will be good as well; just not anything like Lakers/Cavs. The thing about the final four teams is that I won't have a problem with any of their main players getting a ring. I used to HATE the Lakers, but I guess I'll admit I don't hate them much as I used to and I've never had a problem with Kobe. So either Melo, D Howard, or Kobe will get a ring this year. I really don't think Cleveland can come back from 1 - 3 unless they somehow force a Game 7 but the Magic have outplayed them every single game and I just don't see them letting that happen.

I think Lebron could be losing trust in his teammates which is why he's dropping 40+ in losing efforts. He's also may be trying to do too much; hence the 8 TO's but I guess you can't really blame him. I believe Kobe went through the same thing a few years back.

BTW who's idea was it to put Ben Wallace on Rashard Lewis?

^^^ Great point man, Ben Wallace is a decent low post defender but not on a pure shooter like Lewis in HIS domain

Has a team in the NBA ever come back from a 3-1 deficit?

I really thought it was their year.

Nope. In fact, it had not happened in ANY sport (NBA, NHL, or MLB) until the Yankees choked and blew a 3 - 0 series lead to the Red Sox a few years ago.

As long as the majority of the ball is outside the cylinder of the rim, and it's on it's way out, it's okay to touch the ball.

If I understand the rule, the ball cannot be touching the rim at all. But it looks like you may have a point, see bolded below because the ball was outside the cylinder still touching the rim on the front side, so it may not be a violation

Here is an excerpt from the NBA rules site, notice the last part of the paragraph:

http://www.nba.com/features/misunder...es_051128.html

Goaltending: When a player shoots the ball, a defender may not touch the ball after it reaches its highest point. If so, the shot shall be ruled successful. A defender also can not touch a shot after it has hit the backboard and is going towards the rim, even if it is going up. Once the ball is on or directly above the rim, a defender can not touch the ball. If the ball is rolling on top of the rim, a defender can not touch the ball or the rim. If an offensive player touches the ball in any of the above circumstances, basket interference shall be riled and no points can be scored. Once the ball rolls to the outside of the rim, the shot is over and anyone can touch the ball.

Never happened in the NBA though, like CJ stated, a couple of teams did force the Game 7, but lost.

yeahhhh, but it if you think about it, cavs could have won game 1 had rashard not made the winning 3. or if lebron's last free throw in regulation rimmed out, anderson was all over it for the tip in.

it's a credit to lebron. he scores like 40% of the team's points, and they still keep it competitive.

yea i didn't realize how much success orlando's had against cleveland over the past 3 seasons. it's like, 12-4?

good point. there are a lot of lakers fans (not necessarily on this board) who are pointing and laughing at lebron, but kobe was in just same situation a few years ago.

^And thats when kobe lost trust in his teamates and was already demmanding a trade so I wont be surprised if Lebron acts the same way, they are so competative but also selfish.

i think lebron's more unselfish than kobe though.

i dunno if he's the type to demand a trade publicly. especially since it's his hometown team. then again, dude was wearing a yankees cap during an indians/yankees playoff series.

not saying he won't leave in '10 though. i do have this gut feeling he'll be in NY.

Wow sick game. I had a sinking feeling LBJ was going to pull it off again, especially when he made those free throws at the end of regulation. He just looked so gassed in OT, playing the entire 2nd half and OT and carrying the cavs on his back was nuts. Everyone else just disappeared, verejao had some good defensive stops but the magic have too many weapons. I can't believe how many 3s they were launching, alston was on fire for awhile in the 3rd qtr and pietrus and lewis made some clutch shots. The magic are so exciting to watch when they get streaky although when johnson is leading the point i'm always nervous.

Go Nuggets. Hoping from Denver-Orlando final

Game 5 tonight baby!! the pivotal game
83% of the time, whoever wins game 5 coming in 2-2 wins the series.
Lakers have made a habit of winning the games they needed to win (game 2 vs rockets, game 5 vs. rockets, game 7 vs. rockets, game 1 vs nuggets, game 3 vs. nuggets) so let's try and keep it up tonight *knock on wood*
we're at home, so our bench needs to play like it. Sasha, Lamar, Jorda, Shannon, and Bynum were nowhere to be found last game. time to step it up and bring it back, 2 more wins and we can rest all we want until june 4th. let's do this.
let's have some nuggets for dinner.

I've seen two new Kobe/Lebron puppet commercials tonight basically of them challenging each other as to who is better. I guess Nike figured since a Cavs/Lakers Finals is highly unlikely now, they might as well air them now.

Those are NIKE commercials, not NBA. Not sure if D Howard is even a Nike guy. They may have to use Hedo Turk for the magic puppet.
