Ahhh...well, pass her an e- bow from me to her.

ANYHOW. A-Rod sucks. That is all.

But, if he does get traded to the Cubbies or the ChiSox...I wouldn't kick him outta the roster.

When he's not whining about needing fan-support and love...? I don't care where he plays. Hell, he could be a cheerleader for all I care.

They won't be until they invest in decent pitching.

Nothing to do with their hitting. The starting pitching is god awful. Absolutely embarassing. Has a starter even made it 7 innings yet? I don't think so...

Not one has gone past 5 innings. Not 1. The only starter to appear in the 6th inning was Andy Pettite, and that was because he pitched an inning of relief!

Well aside from handing a few mid-tier pitchers the keys to the bankvault...who was really available for the Yanks to restock on?

Money, yes.

But, not sure if players like Zito or Schmidt would've helped change the team into a W.S. club.

And I suppose, mebbe Santana can be pried from the Twins if the Yankees decide to unload Jeter, A-Rod, Wang, Rivera, offer to pay 99% of their salaries and throw in the next 1000 draft picks to Minny...?

wtf? I would laugh so hard if they drop all the players you mentioned. Honestly, if you dump some extra cash... they will pick money over pride!

I'm being sarcastic to prove my point that the Yankees probably won't be able to get the pitching you were asking about...And their farm system is rather dry too which is likely why they weren't potential trade partners with other teams when they offered up some arms (i.e. Chicago ChiSox with Garcia, Garland, and McCarthy)...

The Yanks really need to dig into their farm system and stop worrying about the huge contract players as it's obviously done NOTHING for them the past few years. Let's show their wonderful pitching successes they've spent millions on in the past few years:

-Kevin Brown
-Carl Pavano
-Javier Vazquez
-Randy Johnson
-Esteban Loaiza
-Shawn Chacon
-Jaret Wright

None of which had an ERA under 4.00 over the course of their Yankee stay. They haven't had one good starting pitcher from the farm system in a damn long time. Last I recall is Pettitte in the better part of his career. They just don't seem to learn.

Well, Wang isn't bad. And he's from the system...but, the Yanks need more of that.

Well, he was out 3-6 weeks and is slated to start in two minor league games before rejoining the team.

Pavano threw 7 yesterday.

Hardly any pitchers will get past 90 pitches in the first month of the season. No need to pull a Hampton and blow out an elbow in the first week.

Thome just hit a nice game-changing HR yesterday for the ChiSox in their win over the A's...I'm not concerned.

Gauging player stats in the 1st two weeks of the baseball season is silly.
