Wow the Rockies beat Cole Hamels... Francis has a career ERA of over 5 against the Phillies but he did real well, and of course Mr. Holliday with a HR.

I am getting really pumped. I think the Cubs can pull it off vs. Arizona. Now the NLCS and WS are something else.

Well, I expected a Game 1 loss to be honest. Games 2 and 3 though? We'll see!

Yeah well you shouldn't have expect a win against Webb anyway, he's one of the best NL pitchers.

Webb lasted as long as Zambrano...

It was great pitching duel. It was the Cubs bullpen that blew it...so, don't be a NetEditor and be a box-score reader, mkay?

Marmol has done far too much for us for me to get upset with him about this. It was 1 bad game. Same with Soriano.

I'm not very upset about the loss, and am confident about tomorrow.

Without Marmol, the bullpen situation would've been IMO...he's been great for the Cubs all year.

But still...we had a gawddarned chance in this game!

I was just saying coming into the game I thought the D-backs had a better shot of winning with Webb pitching.

Well whatever, all that matters is that the rest of the D-backs pitching isn't very strong. Livan Hernandez and Doug Davis, good luck winning the playoffs with them.

Fact of the matter is, the Dbacks needed this win. Although Z is our ace, he has been matched by Lilly and quite often, Hill. We have 3 solid SPs; they have 1.

Wow, ouch Philly, very big ouch, I can't believe they lost this one, despite the bounce back from Howard.

Holliday is just doing amazing, that guy is a beast.

Did you see that stat where in the last 6 ALDS, when NYY wins game 1 they are 0-3 in the series...but when they lose game 1, they are 3-0?

Obviously doesn't mean anything now, but was really odd.

Yeah, that's a crazy stat, I guess if stats defined outcomes the Yankees would win for sure.

Just goes to show how much of a crapshoot a 5 game playoff is.

Hell, the Royals could play a 5 game series against the Red Sox and prolly win it 30-35% of the time.

Yeah if you get to play your Ace twice, game one and game five, that's basically two wins, that's a big reason why the Twins got to the ALCS a couple years ago.

That should be a good game. Pettitte is pitching for the Skankees.
